It’s like she got up that morning and said “Screw that Portman bitch. I GOT THIS.” Way to shut us up, girl. We just said yesterday that you tend to stick to one, very Keira-specific look, but here you are, surprising us. This may be one of our favorite “Everyone wants to be me” looks we’ve seen all year. Breezy, beautiful, chic, and quietly confident. The world is your runway, darling. WALK IT.

She is giving me everything I need. This is flawless.

  • Kristi Mitchell

LOVE IT. 100%. I don’t want to be her, but I do want to own every single piece of that outfit.

  • Thomas

Love it. Not sure if I like the shades though. I’m undecided.

    • Denise Alden

Oddly enough, I think the shades are what makes it for me. Just a bit of edge.

    • hyperionic

Love them that shape is so perfect for her.

  • Mary Elizabeth Poytinger Baume

    needs a belt.

    • Sam Smith

      This times a 100.

    • Belvane

Disagree. With a belt, this is any old summer dress. Without, it’s floaty sculpture.

      • demidaemon

I agree with you. No changes necessary.

    • Isana Leshchinskaya

absolutely. and lipstick. then i’d give extra fingers snaps; now i’m just at like 2 or 3 finger snaps.

  • Jessica Freeman

Needs that dress. (so I can wear it with a fabulous belt)

  • Rhonda Shore

This look just confirms what i always thought about her…love her.

  • Anathema_Device

Love it so much. The metallic pumps keep it from being too twee. I don’t think it needs a belt b/c she’d lose the beautiful line of pleats fading into the skirt.

    • random_poster

I’m right there with you on the belt. It would ruin the effect of the pleats, which create the floatiness. This is gorgeous head-to-toe.

  • Judy_S

  • LadyVimes

My quibble is the lack of a bra. Everything else is on point.

  • Cynica

A breath of fresh air. A palate-cleansing sorbet. Also, Miss Taylor Swift can kindly suck it–Keira is owning “ladylike on the streets of NYC.”

  • FancyPhilly

I love her hair here. So pretty.

  • Ron Labhart

I don’t know, I’m having a fierce internal battle over those pleats. The look as a whole is gorgeous, but part of me thinks the pleats need to lie flat. And another part of me thinks that they’re so obviously not flat that it must have been the intention of the designer, and it makes them more diaphanous. And then part of me just wants to strap a belt on it.

    • Gatto Nero

I think the pleats are intended to lie flat on the bodice and soften out in the skirt.

    • Vtg Fashion Library

I agree. And the proportion of them seems a bit off. The collar and pleats make it look like it’s too big on her, when it really isn’t. But if they’d gone with the normal proportions, it would’ve looked totally Audrey. This is more of an updated look, but I think I buy the idea of it more than the actual dress.

      • bitchybitchybitchy

You’ve voiced my reservations about this dress. There is something about the way that the pleats lay about Knightley’s waist and flare out that look slightly off to my eye. That may be the intention. I really like the choice of a metallic shoe and the clutch with this dress. It does give it a contemporary feel.

    • Jacqueline Wessel

Yeah, those pleats are bugging me too. Especially since they’re a little wrinkled in the front and some of their “flowiness” is interrupted. I’m not in love with this look. I think it’s too “little girl” for her.

      • Kristin McNamara

Yes, the pleats are very puckery. That was bugging me too. AND (continuing to be on the same page as you) my first thought was that she looked like a little girl’s doll. I think this is just a little too “kid”ish for a grown woman.

    • tallgirl1204

The pleats are looking sloppy to me. i have to admit I love everything about this look BUT the dress. I was hoping it was a blouse with pedal pushers.

  • Glam Dixie

That’s a dress that would benefit from a slender belt to break up that waist seaming but no denying she looks fabulously beautiful.

  • FibonacciSequins

Really adorable, and she looks like she loves it.

  • Fuchsiaforever

Amazing outfit and accessories . Sorry to be a Debbie Downer but the hairstyle does not flatter her facial bone structure. Oh well.

  • Nikko Viquiera

    And summer appropriate yay!

  • msdamselfly

SHE doesnt do it for me. She’s seems so stiff.

  • M_E_S

There is literally nothing about this that I don’t adore.

  • In_Stitches

Modern day Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz realness. It’s far too prissy for my taste, but I can’t argue that she doesn’t look flawless.

  • Tracy_Flick

That would make a PRECIOUS Easter dress for a 4-year-old. With a little white cardigan and mary janes and a bonnet! On an adult, I’m not so sure.

    • Sofia

i can’t agree more that this is too juvenile. and maybe it’s my monitor, but the color is bland. possibly the color is not right for her skin tone. the dress seems so costumey. i also don’t like her hairstyle from the front. for me this is head to toe “odd.” i don’t think she’s pulling off this “precious” style at all.

  • PeggyOC

I definitely want to be her long enough to steal this dress and the bag. She can keep the shoes.

  • Noah

Living for those sunglasses. Surprised at how much I don’t hate/kinda love the purse.

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/TheOctocornNetwork International Model

    Forever my fantasy biffle.

    • FibonacciSequins

      What’s a biffle?

      • Aidan B

        best friend for LIFE

        • FibonacciSequins

Ah – thank you. Good choice for a fantasy biffle.

        • Glam Dixie

I totally heard that in RuPaul’s voice.

  • http://www.ellenciompi.com/ NurseEllen

Does this need a belt? The waistline looks rather amorphous & undefined to me. Not convinced about the shades; I’d really rather see something large and Holly Golightly-ish (without the rhinestones, though). Other than that, a big ol’ yes. PS: I went to check the price of the clutch, just for grins, and it is already sold out at Saks.

  • JR Labrador

    Holly Goknightley.

    • Kitten Mittons

      • JR Labrador

  • http://www.basicallyimcomplicated.com Gabby

So gorgeous. I wish that the sunglasses were a smidge bigger though. There’s something off-putting about the way they’re sitting around her eyebrows.

  • Aidan B

My 10-year girl crush on her, validated by one photoset.

  • Kristen

    I want that clutch

  • RescueMe23

    Gimme that clutch!

  • Uncle Spike

I have no clutches. I have never had the slightest desire for a clutch. As a man, I have had society dictate that I should not have a clutch.

Oh, and yeah, Keira looks perf. As always.

    • H2olovngrl

  • Shawn EH

    Silver slippers!

    • Carleenml

and I can’t believe how much I love them. So sweet!

  • Betsy

I have to say, I saw her on the show last night and this dress didn’t read nearly as well as it does in these photos. In fact, I hated it. That said, now that I have the full view, it’s practically perfect in every way.

    • Constant Reader

      Love the Mary Poppins reference!

      • Betsy

  • Dino Bonačić

If only she was a nice person. But beautiful indeed!

PS. The shoes are somehow bugging be – they should be either more round or more pointy for this look… :/

    • hyperionic

      She’s not nice?

      • Dino Bonačić

The bitchiest celebrity I’ve met, and I’ve met a number… Wouldn’t sign for fans or take pictures with an excuse that ‘she’s on a holiday’. Gwyneth Paltrow bitchy.

  • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

    WERQ, WERQ and WERQ!!!

  • http://dorothydamage.wordpress.com/ Dorothy Damage

For the first time ever, I like something Keira Knightly is wearing. Between this and liking the Rihanna post yesterday, I feel like the end is nigh.

  • Wink

Great look! Although the dress could be a smidge smaller through the bodice, and the neck seems a bit too loose.

    • Anglow

Agreed, the collar is very loose all the way around her neck. But I do love the look on her, it is very pretty.

  • jbj

The collar, the wrinkled pleats, the too big and out of sync shoes, and hipster glasses make we wonder what the rest of you are smoking today.

  • Tanya Wade

It is an “everyone wants to be me,” because there’s nothing I’d like more than to rock this, but know I never can. Since that’s the case, why not let my no.1 girl crush do it? That bag – beyond! Love the super clean face, too.

  • Nika E

  • Kbear

I want to add a self-fabric belt to this dress. It would help the pleats lay flat at the waist which would be a cleaner look (in my opinion). Other than that – she looks amazing. I’m going to bedazzle my own clutch now – just like this!!

  • boweryboy

I mostly like it (there are some fit issues) but it’s a bit too literal for me to love it.

    • Kitten Mittons

Definitely don’t love it as much as I should. That’s definitely my style, but…eeehhh.

  • GorgeousThings

Nope sorry. Before I saw the full length picture, I thought she was Daniel Radcliffe. And Miss Audrey would never have a wrinkled abdomen from sitting in an SUV limo. She woulda been steamed out before stepping out.

Cute look, definitely out-Portmans Portman, but nowhere near Hepburn.

    • Carleenml

I don’t think Portman deserves to be in the same paragraph. I Never think much of her looks. Never thoughtful, always safe, blah, predictable.

  • suzq

I hate the shoes. Other than that, she looks glorious.

  • http://www.bertkeeter.com Bert Keeter

Audrey is smiling down from heaven for this one. Not in love with the shoe.

  • marlie

I love, love, love this. I think Kiera looks fabulous. My only quibble is that I think the dress needs a belt. Otherwise, her hair and makeup, the shades, the dress, the clutch, the shoes? All perfect.

  • BlairBear

Don’t love the bag or shoes

  • http://www.thirteen.org/program-content/the-downton-abbey-dish-season-4-episode-5/ Gotham Tomato

This is what she was wearing on WWHL last night, but it looks even better here. And I LOVE that clutch!!

She even got the driver to wear a matching tie.

  • Snailstsichr

Love it and that clutch is SO CUTE!!

  • MissusBee

For me, this is leagues ahead of either look in the double shot earlier, and suits her figure much better too. The round toe isn’t quite dainty enough in my eyes but that is a micro-quibble.

  • jilly_d

Inspired choice for the clutch. Love it!

  • NormDeplume720

When I’m wealthy and 10 years younger than I am now, I totally want to wear that.

  • Mothra

Very very nice. But is she wearing a bra? I love her hair to DEATH! I wish the hem was a little crisper though.

  • BayTampaBay

Here shoes are a size to big. Drives me crazy!!!

  • Cheryl

Love it. That pale blue, to me seems like a hard colour to wear, but she looks great in it.

  • LeelaST

10-year-old going to a snooty birthday party.

  • steelglow

Am I the only one who hates those glasses on her? All I’m seeing is mad scientist/Dr. Strangelove….

    • Carleenml

      I don’t love them.

    • sagecreek

I thought Dr. Horrible, but they’re okay with me — they keep the outfit from tweeing out.

  • Danielle

  • eringorock

This makes me so happy it hurts- she looks preciously beautiful.
    This just made my month.

  • bassfemme

This is a WERQ to me. Love everything, from those exquisite pleats to the cobblestone street.

  • Kathie

LOVE LOVE LOVE and I am stealing that purse!

  • decormaven

    Perfection. That clutch is glorious.

  • Hermione

If it were white, it would be a First Holy Communion dress. It’s a little too precious, I think. And the pleats are bugging me, too.

  • Tee

This is a beautiful look from head to toe, but it’s Friday and I need something a little more “meaty”. Now that we’be had sweet, how about some sausage?

  • fromanotherplanet

Oh Keira *heart melts* I just love her.

  • Denise Rambo

  • jml27

She was wearing this outfit on Watch What Happens Live…Bravo TV.

  • MilaXX

So pretty ad feminine. Not everyone could wear this, but it looks great on Keira. Love the shades.

  • Fred Vaughn

    Keira’s making this look BREATHE.

  • snarkykitten

photos like this make me wish I was thin and ethereal.

  • Rebekah B

That dress is divine on her, but the clutch is setting off my trypophobia.

    • DuBey2

      What’s trypophobia?

      • LadyLuck777

Google it. You will be horrified.

        • DuBey2

Aagh! Now I have to quickly delete the history on Google images. I don’t know whether to thank you or not! Some things I am better off not knowing/seeing!

  • amf0001

looks like Alice in Wonderland to me

    • ktr33

One of my all-time style icons. Still searching for a pinafore.

  • Little_Olive

lovelove, minus the clutch, which takes it dangerously close to “playing dress up” territory. The shades are the right way to go (although a black frame would have gone better wit the solver pumps, imo), because they relax the look a bit. The clutch does not.

  • StupidSexyFlanders

Hmm. I actually hate this. She looks like a bed ruffle.

    • anyalama

Yeah. I feel like I might like it if the pleats were more crisp and there were some sort of belt. Its just too… poofy, as it is.

  • demidaemon

WOW. WERQ level. And she finally did something with her hair. MIRACLES DO HAPPEN!

  • conniemd

And here I thought Miss Keira was on everyone’s irrational hate list. I’ve always loved her and felt she gets a bad wrap as a genuine actress due to the Pirates series. She’s on my love list because she’s so pretty and British.

  • KT

Love, head to toe. This would be way too twee on someone like Taylor Swift, but it’s just right on Keira. My only quibble is that I think this needs a belt – just a thin one, nothing too distracting. But really great nonetheless.

  • http://www.readbarbara.com/ ReadBarbara

the world is her runway, indeed, but please, not in those shoes. They look spray painted.

  • numenah

Audrey would have advised lipstick. Keira’s looking a bit pallid.

  • http://weirdinedgewise.blogspot.com ONEWEIRDWORD

I wonder where she’s going. So fresh and cool and pretty.

  • Tiffany Birch

Lovely! Audrey would’ve approved. And it’s almost in the Tiffany blue color. Almost.

Anyone know who makes her sunglasses?

  • deech_sea

    Wow! Love it!

  • Janice Bartels

    Absolutely charming.

  • FridaStaire

Love it 99% – it thickens her waist, I’m afraid. I’d like to see a belt. Otherwise – gorgeous.

    • dschubba

I’m right there with you. As is, the fit is off.

Keira Knightley‘s waist looks thick. Let that one sink in.

    • martha

I think her natural waist is lower than the waistline of the dress, so the narrowest part of the dress is not at her narrowest spot. However I do love the design of that dress!

  • frannyprof

Miss Keira to Taylor, Reese, Heidi, Olivia, and all the other female celebrity streetwalkers: Suck. It.

  • gefeylich

Now, THAT’S the way to do it. Relaxed, confident perfection in homage to Hepburn, who would have appreciated this.

  • DuBey2

LOVE it ALL and ” In Head-to-toe Prada ” are two things I never thought I’d say together.

  • GeoDiva

    Love it!

  • Melmmmendes

I don’t think I’ve liked anything this much in a long time. What are these feelings? Also, please god, let there be a million more variations of this dress soon. So good.

  • Yoshio

    I want that clutch

  • Pudgy Possum

I am obsessed with that dress, and good choice to add the glasses, which gives this quirk.

  • Pudgy Possum

Hahaha, I have just read the comments about her needing a belt. I’ve never felt any inclination to belt a cinched-wait dress–seems superfluous. (Or a belt over a buttoned-up cardigan–anyone else think it’s too fussy and useless?)

  • quiltrx

I absolutely cannot stand her–but I can agree that this look is flawless!

  • stubbornthoughts

    Motherfucking MOVIE STAR.

  • lilazander

Love her look, and the clutch is awesome!

  • ktr33

Love. LOVE! and I’m not a real fan of hers. From the twisty hairdo to the sunglasses to the dying-for-it dress, but not 100% there with the shoes.

  • ChaquitaPhilly

Love this look! Very lovely, very classy and not at all boring. Impossible, but she pulls it off.

  • AnaRoW

The dress is pretty. The shoes are a bit too large. Hate the glasses. HATE the hair.

  • icm

She wore this dress on the View ,she looked beautiful.

  • Mary Dalton

It’s slightly Jude Law playing Bosie, inspiring De Profundis.

  • Donna

Can we have a round of applause for the seamstress? (BTW what would be the masculine? Seamster? SeamMr?)

  • kategs

I think it wants a belt…but it’s lovely as is she.

  • elemspbee

all working, except for her face/smirk. ruins the whole look

  • RutGot

I’d be behind it (kind of, I don’t like that dress much) but those sunglasses are like a needle scratch. Yikes.

  • Ann VerWiebe

    Perfect – just perfect.

  • Amel

Weird everything, this. Nonetheless somehow she’s Keira-ing it into being chic. Way to know how you look good, Keira.

  • amanda lynn

    Oh my. This is lovely.

  • JynxTheCat

pity the sweaty hands in lap puckering of the garment though. But SOOO cute.
