Charlie Hunnam on the Set of “Crimson Peak”

Posted on April 16, 2014

Here’s Charlie, whistling on his way to work, thrilled that it’s not that softcore shit they tried to force him into.

Why Mr. Hunnam. Don’t you fill out a period costume nicely.

It’s taking him back to his Nicolas Nickleby days.

      • kimmeister

That’s still the only thing I’ve ever seen him in!

Day-um. That just made my day. I’m so glad he’s not doing 50 Shades. I have no idea what this movie is about, but it can only be worlds better than that dreck, so sign me up.

      • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

        I bet he’s pleased too!

      • misstressofsylar

It should be. He is with Jessica Chastain and Tom Hiddleston and the director is Guillermo Del Toro! Anyway, funny how when he was named as the lead star in that other movie that there were just 2 reactions, that he’s either not good looking enough or that he was too good for the role.

        • jay

sweet lord, I don’t even care what it’s about with those names on it.

    • Sarah

Crimson Peak set photos and none of our dear Mr Hiddleston?
I’ll be over in the corner weeping.

      • AnguaVonUberwald

Does that mean Hiddles is in Toronto?? I live near Toronto!!! I might have to go have a lie down.

        • Rhonda Shore

          Don’t get me started!!!

        • Sarah

Get thee to your fainting couch because the answer is YES

        • Anna

My reaction when I heard this was filming here: “Hiddles?! HERE?!?! We’re going to be breathing the same air?!!” And then I lost consciousness.

          • yethica

I am giggling in my blow dry chair. And also wishing I were in Toronto. That too.

        • lunchcoma

He has been in Toronto, but I don’t know if he’s there now. He flew back to London last weekend for an awards show and might not have returned.

Oh. Dear. My stalker tendencies have been revealed, haven’t they?

      • Kimmu

I screamed when I learned this was an actual period piece and not just of the “Victorian haunted house” genre. Period Hiddleston is always the best. I also loooooooove the look that Mia Wiasakowska was spotted in the other day.

        • Sarah

It definitely sounds interesting. I haven’t seen the Wasikowska photos, will have to check those out

      • WendyD

And Hiddles with Loki-esque locks! Dark hair. *BURSTS INTO FLAMES FROM THE JOY*

        • Sarah

Gothic Loki is my spirit animal

    • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

      I love that satchel.

    • Mary Elizabeth Poytinger Baume

      Hiiiiiiiiiiiii. I like your everything…

    • JauntyJohn

      I vote Yes.

    • Tanya Wade

I’m getting Nicholas Nickleby flashbacks. Spank you very much.

    • quiltrx

Can we start a campaign to have these pants make a comeback? They do such lovely things for a manly backside.
It’s the rare guy who can do “dirty” and “clean” and make us swoon either way…

    • JP

Anyone else getting a young Brad Pitt vibe?

      • ShaoLinKitten

I’d love to see a movie where Brad Pitt, Charlie Hunnam, and Travis Fimmel all play family members. Family members who don’t shave or believe in wearing shirts.

        • JP

          Totally! Also Greyston Holt.

          • ShaoLinKitten

I didn’t know who Greyston Holt was. Cute, but the other three look like they were stamped by the same die, if you know what I mean. When bearded, their resemblance is eerie. That’s definitely my genre of man.

    • MilaXX

      I prefer him clean shaven

      • demidaemon

I’m the opposite. ;) Different tastes and all.

Though the rear view is EVERYTHING.

    • jilly_d

      DAT BAG

    • http://vispreeve.tumblr.com/ Den Milano

It’s softcore hardcore shit. At least that’s what I’ve heard…

    • Anna

Oh, this’ll do. The third and the last photos are my favourite.

Cannot wait for this movie, I don’t know what it’s about except Hiddles is in it and Hunnam looks hot. Works for me.

    • @Biting Panda

It’s no secret, I like him dirty and mean, but this will certainly do, quite nicely actually, for a little fantasy switch up. Variety is the spice of life, after all.

(True story; The other night I fell asleep to Pacific Rim. I had dirrrrrrty dreams about Mr. Idris Elba, and as hot as that was, I was a little sad that Charlie didn’t make an appearance.)

      • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

Lucky you. My last dirty dream was about Reese Witherspoon and that was just confusing.

… but I hadn’t realised that was Charlie in Pacific Rim. I was so bored by that film I just zoned out.

        • Alloy Jane

LOL! Please tell me that this dream took place in a parking lot.

          • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

Mostly on a window seat, actually.

        • demidaemon

I have to ask: was alcohol involved in the creation or the content of this dream?

          • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

            Probably.

    • Susan Velazquez

I only know Charlie from Pacific Rim so I just see a Time Traveling Raleigh Beckett!

    • Frank_821

Have any of you seen him back when he played twink in the original Queer as Folk. At least i think that was his role. I’ve never seen the brit version

      • olwyn sherd

He played Nathan in the Brit version.soooooo young and verrrry hott.

      • ShaoLinKitten

His best role IMO. He’s heart-breakingly pretty.

    • The Versatile Chef

Have no idea who this handsome fellow is, but he reminds me of Heath Ledger.

      • @Biting Panda

How do you feel about gratuitous sex and violence on screen? If it lights your fire, check out Sons of Anarchy. But only if you go back and start from the beginning. The final season starts this September. I am already in mourning.

        • Danielle

If that’s not your bag, Pacific Rim has him shirtless and fighting giant robots! Fun fact: I thought Pacific Rim was a band.

    • Krysta

The costume, sure, but that hair is noooooot his friend!

    • Sarah Thomas

For those who know the books, tell me he wouldn’t be a perfect Captain William Laurence of HMD Temeraire.

      • lunchcoma

Oh, you’re right. I wonder if we’ll ever see an adaptation of that series. If someone could get a budget to swing the CGI, I think the story would end up being quite a crowd-pleaser.

        • tereliz

Right? I keep telling people: It’s Master and Commander. With DRAGONS!

      • gsk241

I hadn’t thought of it, but you’re very right. Last I heard, Peter Jackson had the movie rights to the series, but I don’t know if it will go anywhere. The books are so charming and I think they would make great movies if the special effects were done right.

      • tereliz

        NISOIBSFBLBSVLPBVIN BINSV PKNjkb ljlbjyfyjcvh grduyucyl,d!!!11!!!!!!

        That was my brain kerploding.

    • Sadie-Ann

It’s amazing how much younger he looks with a clean face.

    • http://phantomminuet.blogspot.com/ MinAgain

      Looking good, Charlie.

    • Danielle

      Dat booty.

    • Diana

Hold up. He’s in Toronto? I can’t deal with this information. Just gonna choose to forget because I’ll be silently wishing I run into him on the street.

      • Jaeda Laurez

Right? And they’re always shooting something in my neighborhood- I feel compelled to keep my eyes open now.

    • Sarah

Sigh. I love period pants. Nothing like a rump buckle for viewing pleasure.

    • oohsparkley!

He looks so much younger without the beard. Babyfaced, but still hot!

    • NMMagpie

Wow… Hot does not even begin to describe him.

    • Jaeda Laurez

I need him to be a little scruffy to be extra delicious, but this is good too.

    • BunnyFlop

      sdfdskdjf HOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

    • H2olovngrl

Best opening statement, ever. As one who intensely disliked THAT BOOK, I thank you for the laugh.

    • sk8tfan

Wow doesn’t he clean up purty…don’t ever take another role where they don’t let you wash your hair, Charlie…

    • Jacob Bowen

I’ll gladly take that bag when the movie wraps.

    • http://chillaxbiznatch.tumblr.com/ Tatiana

Post the pictures of Tom Hiddleston on the same set please! He looks equally handsome in period clothes :)

      • bitchybitchybitchy

Charlie and Hiddles on the same set-yes, we need more!

    • Valdri8

Holy shit! Something just happened in my panties.

    • demidaemon

I miss his beard. I never thought I would type that about a boystar.

    • lillyvonschtupp

He’s like Russell Crowe and Heath Ledger had a son.

    • yethica

Imma say for the record that the comments on this particulAr post are brilliantly amusing.

      HAWT!
