Emma Stone in Roland Mouret at the “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” Beijing Press Conference

Posted on March 26, 2014

Cute, chic and uncomplicated. It’s both the perfect photo call look as well as the perfect look to start off our day.

Not to mention the perfect celebrity ladypant outfit. Attagirl. Screw those so-called color rules for redheads. You’re rocking those reds. ¬†This was also the perfect time to deploy the classic black pump. We’re so thrilled to start off our day stating that some ladystar chose the right shoe, for once. Can it be, darlings? Is this the day where we don’t bitch about shoes? Stay tuned! Magic 8-Ball says “Not fucking likely!”

I don’t adore the combination of top/bottom colours, personally, but those are some nice fitting clothes and I do adore the shows. So glad she’s a redhead again!

    • hyperionic

Not particularly red though, looks blonde on the ends.

      • StillGary

buthe hair is still a great step in the right direction!

      • melisaurus

The curse of bleached hair and coloring your hair red. I bet she colors it once a week.

    • Kitten Mittons

Yes, I’m not a fan of the color combo, but I can’t deny that everything looks really great here and is fitted to perfection. Her hair looks so gorgeous, as does the makeup.

  • @Biting Panda

Super cute. Could use a little daytime jewelry, though.

    • zenobar

It’s crying out for a fabulous cuff.

    • SugarSnap108

Yep. A little jewelry and this would be perfect.

  • LilyVanessi

There’s a jacket or a sweater laying in a hotel lobby somewhere saying, “I know I had an outfit with me a minute ago…” I like the the look but it seems unfinished.

  • In_Stitches

The color play here is WERQ-level. Very different shades of red from blood to coral and pink, all working together in harmony.

  • B_C_J

The color palette is not my favorite but there is no denying the great fit . Her hair & makeup look lovely.

  • Alyssa

I love this outfit on her. I would like perhaps a pendant necklace or bracelet.

    • Nancer

I know, right? Why are ladystars so averse to wearing some jewelry? Do they all have metal allergies?

      • Jackie4g

They probably weren’t offered any free jewelry. At least not for this trip.

        • Nancer

So with all the money she/they earn, you’d think they would spring for a few fabulous pieces on their own dime, like the rest of us! Ah well.

          • Jackie4g

Exactly. However, if your normal consisted of free stuff all the time, and you weren’t by nature a Dedicated Follower of Fashion (thank you Ray Davies), then it wouldn’t even occur to you to add something that wasn’t proscribed. It takes a certain energy to remember everything, and her main charge is to travel and promote.

          • Nancer

Sure, but also – to look fabulous while pole dancing!

          • Qitkat

Even high-quality costume jewelry. I own a dramatic necklace made by Korto Mormolu which would look wonderful with this outfit. I deploy it infrequently, as it is quite bold, but sets off the most basic outfit very fetchingly.

          • demidaemon

Despite being a boy, I am kind of jealous that you have one of Korto’s pieces.

          • SierraDelta

            Sorry — Inner Magpie attack.

          • Random Compliments

So JEALOUS that you have a Korto necklace!

          • Qitkat

To @demidaemon:disqus , @disqus_LIRNtJgj0R:disqus and @randomcompliments:disqus , I feel pretty lucky to have it. Back when she was on the show for her first season, either during, or right after it was over, TLo featured a post in which some of her jewelry pieces were showcased, and the website information was available for purchases. It didn’t take much convincing of myself that I should treat myself to an early birthday gift. I knew I would never probably get another chance at it, they were limited editions, if that part of her business took off (unfortunately for her I don’t think that it did). There is no jewelry on her current website. Mine has chunky beads and lucite flower petals and leaves strung on a metal chain.
Definitely one of my little treasures :-)

          • SierraDelta

            Wow! Just wow!

          • Qitkat

Sigh. The end of the Bravo years.

          • makeityourself

Stars of yesteryear used to be famous for their personal jewelry collections. Now it’s all borrowed, except for Oprah’s diamond earrings.

        • Alyssa

If your name is Emma Stone and you’re not offered jewelry, I blame the stylist. Although if I were Emma Stone, I would demand jewelry and refuse to leave my house/hotel without it. I have some drama queen in me.

  • Nancer

Cute, but would it kill her to wear a necklace? A bracelet maybe?

  • DinnerIsServed1972

  • http://attiresmind.blogspot.com/ Kiltdntiltd

Inside she’s probably thinking, “For once I didn’t have to spend 5 hours getting ready.”

    • Vanessa

I know–when I think–“I could do that” for a celebrity outfit, it must be pretty simple!

      • marlie

I was totally thinking that this could be part of my spring office wardrobe – if spring ever decided to arrive.

  • barbarienne

Can I buy a drink for whoever did her face? That makeup is perfect. I feel like there was a period when they were putting so much goop around her eyes it was making her look awful. This is great makeup.

The outfit is great. I love when something is so simple and yet so perfect. It shows the importance of proportion and fit.

    • littlemac8

I love the outfit, too. I think a necklace would ruin the clean line simplicity of this aesthetic. Maybe a cuff, but I like it the way it is plenty!

  • teensmom99

I love the retro hair and top and then . .. pants. The surprise combo makes lady pants even better.

  • decormaven

Happy sigh! This works from head to toe. Where can I buy the TLo 8-ball? Mine never had that saying.

  • jeneria

Head to toe, a great outfit. The only accessory she’s missing is Andrew Garfield, IMO.

  • http://www.beautifymylifeblog.com Jessica

She looks great — perfectly polished and put together.

  • nannypoo

    I love everything about this.

  • elemspbee

    love. alla it. on her!

  • MissFern

I could not love this more!

  • Danielle

These are Her Colors. Brava, Ems!!

  • ashtangajunkie

This is damn near perfect. She looks awesome – I would just love some jewelry.

  • Lily

Maybe I’m not caffeinated enough, maybe its flare from the flash bulbs, but that crimson/coral color combo does not sit well with me. In fact, if I look at it long enough, it kind of makes me nauseated. The tailoring is impeccable, though, and she looks cute and perky, as always!

  • http://batman-news.com boweryboy

THIS is the outfit Christina Hendricks should have worn the other day.

  • MaggieMae

Way to rock that Laura Petrie outfit, Emma! Those pants look divine on you.

  • Kim Elmore

    Her hair is so shiny!!!

  • Gatto Nero

So well done, head to toe. The clothes are clean, modern, and fit perfectly; the colors are great on her. And it all looks effortless.

  • Mismarker

    Ab fab. Love it all.

  • megawatt

She looks like a fashionable and adorable Scooby Doo character.

    • demidaemon

      Velma, Daphne, or guest client?

  • Richard Banger

Why does this remind me of Bree Van de Kamp? But in a good way!

  • Jacob Bowen

    THIS is your hair Emma!

  • KendraMR

    Luv her and this look.

    WERQ Venue perfect

  • mjude

  • Kent Roby

The Chinese backdrop must translate to “The Amazing Emma Stone”; WERQ.

  • marlie

Adorable. Cute outfit, and her hair and makeup are pretty. Some bolder jewelry might have been nice, but I still think she looks great.

  • kt

Love that shade of coral on her top, the nice thing about being a dyed red is that the red head colors don’t pertain. Gingers are hard to dress because of skin tone ( the struggle is real, even for day walkers) but that blond skin green eyed goodness looks fab in a lot of colors. The pants are amaze, even if the competing reds hurt the eys

  • http://foodycat.blogspot.co.uk/ Alicia

What a face! I don’t usually like pairing those sorts of colours together but she is really making them work.

  • stubbornthoughts

Perfection. When I got married, I gave my makeup artist a few pictures of Emma Stone (we’re pale gals) for inspiration. This is pretty much exactly what she did for me. Not overdone, but done up enough to love (and feel) extraordinarily beautiful.

  • Crystal

THIS IS GORGEOUS. Her head looks so great!

  • jilly_d

    hair so shiny…..me want…..

  • MilaXX

Very nice. A skinny bangle wouldn’t hurt, but overall nice look.

  • Fuchaforever

Lol you Uncles are hilarious lol

  • Granny panties

Stunning. Love the interesting colour combo.

  • Fuchaforever

I love the combo I love the colors I love it all! I breathed a sigh of relief for after seeing her in that horrible stripped dress the other day you know? Much much much better!

  • kimmeister

That type of shoulder/sleeve wouldn’t work on a lot people, but she’s totally pulling it off.

  • Constant Reader

I even like the fact that she did minimal jewelry, and I am always bemoaning the lack of shiny things on ladystars. The colors pop so much, she doesn’t need it.

  • quiltrx

Glad she’s back to red! Is this a red ombre? That’s a new one.
I’m not wild about the clothing colors (mostly because I can’t wear them, I suppose), but the fit and style are great for a photocall.

  • webslice33

    she looks so fresh…

  • Bernadette

Everything here is adorbs! And something translatable for real ladies in the real world. I’m seeing some color-combo experimenting for this lady…

  • unbornfawn

    Nice job.

  • EEKstl

    LOVE. Smart and chic.

  • Jessica Freeman

Actually not loving the color combination at all. But I love the shape of the outfit. Her head looks fantastic.

    • BLauD

Yes. This. And the shoes. Really the perfect shoes here.

  • yethica

I would like this outfit in multiples in a variety of colors. I would wear it to work at least 3 times a week.

  • French_Swede

Maybe it’s because I’m 5’9″ but those pants look just a skosh short to me. Reminds me of my sad tween years shopping at the Lemon Frog Shop at Sears and ALL the pants I tried on were too short.

  • http://asskickingadviser.com/ Ass Kicking Adviser

    Love it!

  • Jacqueline Wessel

Cute and refreshing, but I feel like it’s missing something. Maybe a jacket or some jewelry or some more stylish shoes.

  • formerlyAnon

She does look great. The fit is *perfect*

I’m not a fan of the colors she’s wearing, but that’s a personal thing.

  • BrooklynBomber

  • Ashleigh

    Not bloody likely!!

  • Qitkat

Roland Mouret always does such interesting things with shoulders and unexpected darts/seams. I would love to have that top.
Emma looks beautiful here, perfect flattering makeup and especially hair. Lovely colors (hair and clothing).

  • Madam Von Sassypants

Impeccably tailored and a fresh color combination to give it just the right amount of interest. Lovely.

  • Winter_White

We need a great biopic in which Emma is cast to play Molly Ivins as a young woman. Not just because of the physical resemblance — Emma does ‘witty’ so well!

  • Sophie

She looks fantastic from top to bottom. She does have weird flaps on her shoulders, but I guess it wouldn’t be a Mouret outfit without them.

  • Sally Spannagle

Damn does she look polished. Everything from the clothes to hair and makeup.

  • http://twitter.com/#!/Space_Kitty Space Kitty

This should really be her go to look.

  • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

In her early days, Doris Day was the ‘Sexy girl next door’. I think Miss Emma can now take a legitimate swing at that title. Lovely.

  • demidaemon

Wow. Amazingly well put together and perfectly styled? is the fashion apocalypse on the horizon?

  • Lilithcat

Have we gone from people wearing their pants to long to people wearing them too short? Flats would have been the answer.

  • heuristicvalue

Adorable. I would kill for those shoes. The color combo is very Spiderman of her.

  • Judih1

A personal best for her. Some daytime jewelry and this would have been a WERQ!
