White Restaurant – Santorini, Greece
It’s FRIDAY. Hooray. Let’s not waste it by spending any time in reality. That would be foolish. Take a seat.
Mike White Adds ‘Survivor 50’ Stars Charlie Davis & Kamilla Karthigesu To ‘The White Lotus’ Season 4 Cast
Mike White was part of the epic season of Survivor 50 and appeared via video call during the finale of the CBS competition.
The Survivor contestant, who was eliminated fourth this season, is busy filming Season 4 of The White Lotus in France and made a surprise announcement.
White has cast Survivor alums from previous seasons to make cameos in the series, and following Survivor 50, it was revealed that Charlie Davis and Kamilla Karthigesu would appear in Season 4 of the HBO series.
Emily in Paris Says Adieu with Upcoming Final Season
Production has started on Season 6 of the series about the titular American expat.
Everyone’s favorite marketing executive is returning for one last adventure: Emily in Paris will end with Season 6, which is now filming.
The fashion comedy’s star, Lily Collins, announced the news with a video, which you can see above. “Season 6 will bring you everything you love about the show and serve as the final chapter in Emily’s adventure of a lifetime,” Collins says.
Greece is the first stop for Season 6 production. Emily in Paris will then jet off to Monaco and, finally, return to the City of Light. Would you expect anything less fabulous for Emily Cooper’s (Collins) final escapade? Writer, creator, and executive producer Darren Star agrees.
“Making Emily in Paris with this extraordinary cast and crew has been the trip of a lifetime. As we embark on the final season, I am so grateful to Netflix, Paramount, and, most importantly, the fans who have taken this incredible journey with us,” he says. “We can’t wait to share this last chapter with you. Thank you for letting us be a part of your lives, inspiring your dreams of travel and your love of Paris. We will always have Emily in Paris!”
Keke Palmer Earned Her Crown
Keke Palmer does not have the energy to give glass skin. But she can give cracked glass, she jokes, or stained glass on a cathedral, as I interject. “I live for stains. She’s giving a stained window. Yes, honey, yes. That gives me life.”
We’re catching up on the eve of the Met Gala, mere weeks before her next flick I Love Boosters, courtesy of Boots Riley, and on the heels of helping launch La Roche-Posay’s Mela B3 products. Did I mention she’s the architect of workout service, Practice by Palmer? Busy, busy girl!
Mermaid nail designs are already trending for summer
Beach please
If we were to pick a main character for summer, the mermaids have it. It may be as groundbreaking as florals for spring but there’s a reason mermaid nail designs are already trending on Google search. The aesthetic is as whimsical and beautiful as it is wearable – and honestly, if looking down at our fingernails can spark joy, we’re all about it.
Of course, the Mermaid movement has been building for a while, with crimped mermaid waves, wet-look hair and dolphin skin all making a splash. Likewise mermaid nail art has been remixed, reinvented and personalised for the past few summers, with some of our favourite manicurists and influencers finding new ways to keep the aesthetic feeling current. And, if the Chanel Cruise 26/27 runway is anything to go by, interest in the trend is only set to intensify. Models were sent down the runway with freshly misted skin, fishnet hair accessories and sheer, shimmering, water-washed manis in seashell whites and pinks, sandy yellows and ocean blues.
From Butter Shells to Funfetti: We’ve Entered a Delicious Dipped Cone Renaissance
Ice cream shops across the country are adding new flavors to this nostalgic treat.
Major coffee chains and independent cafes alike have been prompted by consumer demand in recent years to continually add exciting new flavors to their menus, including horchata, ube, salted maple, and pistachio-infused drinks. Similar to the forces behind the ever-increasing number of flavored coffee beverages available, the power of social media and a trend toward “little treat” culture have spurred ice cream innovation.
Classic White Trainers Are Replacing Colourful Styles For Spring: Shop 9 Of The Best
From first ladies and fashion insiders to tech moguls and athletes, the humble white trainer has earned the seal of approval across the board.
It’s no secret that the sneaker scene has become somewhat saturated. Every colour combo, every silhouette, every fabrication – whatever your imagination can conjure up – probably already exists. Which is why there is a lot to say for good ol’ plain white trainers.
Ever since 2011, when Phoebe Philo took her bow at a Celine show wearing a simple pair of Stan Smiths, white trainers have been a beacon of quiet luxury. Effortlessly elegant and endlessly versatile, they’ve earned approval across the board – from first ladies and fashion insiders to tech moguls, athletes and royalty alike. (Catherine, Princess of Wales has been spotted in styles by Veja, Superga and Adidas, while Meghan, Duchess of Sussex has previously favoured pairs from Allbirds and Spanish label Freda Salvador.)
Making Michael
Colman Domingo, Nia Long and Jaafar Jackson take on the responsibility of portraying the man—and the family—behind the fame.
Over the years, Hollywood has tried to take on the complex story of the enigmatic musician from Gary, Indiana. In 1992, ABC premiered the beloved television miniseries The Jacksons: An American Dream, and a little over a decade later, the less-than-favorable Man in the Mirror: The Michael Jackson Story revisited his life from another angle. Now, with an ensemble that also includes Larenz Tate, Laura Harrier, Kendrick Sampson, Kat Graham and Miles Teller, among others, viewers can experience an effort that aims to set the record straight. With all of that in mind, it raises a familiar question: Can this telling fully capture the man behind the legend?
The cast’s approach was guided by a clear sense of responsibility to the superstar’s legacy and the supporters who have followed him since the late-1960s. “The goal for us, for me, was to just honor Michael in a way that would just make the fans excited,” Long admits. “We wanted to tell the story the way the story really needs to be told, but also, we wanted fans to get excited that this was happening. And to have Jaafar at the center of it was really amazing because he’s an extension of the family.”
The Best Linen Trousers For Heatwave Days, From M&S To Cos
You don’t need to be in the South of France to pull off a pair.
Swanning along a sandy knoll, sipping Aperol on a sunny square and cooking up a storm at the Sunday barbecue are all things you can do while wearing a pair of linen trousers. In fact, it doesn’t stop there; when suitably styled, the best linen trousers are also office-appropriate and would be right on theme for a casual, warm-weather dinner party. The lightweight style is one of the most versatile pieces in a summer line-up, providing the base to countless ensembles that read as both comfortable and incredibly chic.
Stephen Colbert Ends ‘Late Show’ With Joyous Paul McCartney ‘Hello Goodbye’ Performance, as Ex-Beatle Turns Lights Out at Ed Sullivan Theater
Paul McCartney, a surprise guest on the final episode of “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” provided a poignant capper to the series by being given the ceremonial honor of turning out the lights in the Ed Sullivan Theater, a location with which he has plenty of history.
The final number had McCartney and Colbert singing the Beatles‘ classic “Hello Goodbye,” accompanied by Elvis Costello, former band leader Jon Batiste and current band leader Louis Cato, eventually joined on stage by a parade of staffers dancing through and around the stag in a line, as the house band finally gave the ’60s tune a New Orleans-style coda.
From The Butterfly Bob To The Curved Crop, 5 New Bob Haircuts That Are Trending For Summer
Leading hairstylists reveal the most popular cuts for the warmer weather.
It’s easy to see the appeal of a short, shoulder-grazing haircut come summer. Not only does a bob require far less maintenance and styling than midi-lengths and longer layers – often omitting the need for styling tools, sprays and finishes altogether – but the hairstyle is far cooler for the raising temperatures.
‘This season, there’s a collective desire for low-maintenance, effortlessly undone short haircuts, with many seeking hairstyles with more texture and movement,’ agrees Annabelle Taurua, beauty expert at Fresha, who says there’s been an uptick in searches for the trixie cut and the feathered bob.
Five of the Most Memorable Moments on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert
It’s hard to imagine a world in which Stephen Colbert isn’t on the airwaves, providing a reliable and soothing dash of sanity. Just a year after his satirical political news show, The Colbert Report, went off the air on Comedy Central, Colbert took the reins of The Late Show from David Letterman—and this Thursday, that run too comes to an end (albeit not on Colbert’s terms).
In honor of the Emmy-winning show’s nearly 11-year tenure—a period during which Colbert and his writers managed to be thoughtful and irreverent about the news of the day without veering into preachiness—we’ve rounded up five of the best moments in Late Show history, now that it’s, well, history.
The 7 Best Blush Tints for a Soft, Watercolor Flush
My makeup looks ten times fresher since incorporating one into my routine.
For the past few months, I’ve slowly become less interested in blushes that look overly too bright or overly heavy. Don’t get me wrong—I still love a sculpted blush moment every once in a while, but lately, I’ve been reaching for blush tints almost exclusively. A big part of that comes from the watercolor makeup trend that’s been taking over my TikTok feed and, honestly, my own routine. Instead of harsh contour, super-intense pigment, or anything that looks too perfectly placed, the entire vibe is softer and more diffused. “Nothing looks too sharp or sculpted,” makeup artist Corey White previously told MC. “The blush, lips, and eyes have this diffused, flushed effect that feels dreamier, effortless.”
Christina Hendricks, Naomie Harris Set for New Legal Drama ‘Reputation’ From BBC
Christina Hendricks and Naomie Harris are set to lead “Reputation,” a new celebrity-focused legal drama for BBC.
The six-part series, from Banijay U.K. company The Forge, sees Harris (“Skyfall”) play Lena, a top lawyer who is hired to represent international pop star Davina Knight (“Mad Men” star Hendricks) in the celebrity case of the decade.
“Rivals” star Emily Atack also joins the cast alongside Kyle Soller (“Andor”), who plays Knight’s husband Billy.
“After Davina releases a provocative new song accusing her ex-husband, Billy, of abusive behaviour and he retaliates in kind, their private breakdown erupts into a very public libel battle,” reads the synopsis. “The case is fought far beyond the courtroom, as PR machines are deployed, laws are bent and social media platforms become judge, jury and battleground – driving outrage for clicks and warping the truth.”
Mom Jeans Are Officially Back. Here’s How to Style Them for Summer 2026
They’re so easy to style and too comfortable to overlook.
Mom jeans are much more than just jeans. Over time, the once essential ’80s item lost some of its appeal and became associated with outdated trends. In recent years, however, it’s become a favorite denim style for many women once again thanks to its loose fit and high-waist silhouette.
The ’80s mom jeans we know and love were typically a light blue denim with a tapered leg, named after the women who wore them. Anyone who grew up during that time will probably remember their moms pairing them with a white tee, a blazer with shoulder pads, and thick socks.
Princess Diana’s Sultriest Photoshoot Look Happened Because of This ’90s Supermodel
Sam McKnight, Princess Diana’s longtime hairstylist, shared the backstory behind one of his ‘favorite’ photoshoots with the royal on the ‘Fat Mascara’ podcast
Princess Diana’s former hairstylist says one of his favorite photoshoots with her might not have happened if it weren’t for a nudge from an iconic ’90s supermodel.
Sam McKnight appeared on the May 6 episode of Jess Matlin’s Fat Mascara podcast, where he looked back on his time working with the late princess, who died at age 36 in August 1997.
Diana and Sam McKnight, 71, worked together for seven years, creating some of her most memorable style moments. In a recent interview on the award-winning Fat Mascara podcast, the hairstylist recalled one standout shoot that produced one of his most memorable looks on the mother of Prince William and Prince Harry.
Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show ends with a reality-bending wormhole, Strike Force Five, and a song
Colbert had hosted the franchise since taking over from David Letterman in 2015.
And that’s a wrap for The Late Show.
Stephen Colbert, the franchise’s host for the past decade, signed off Thursday, May 21 after over 1,800 shows.
Fans started lining up early in the rain for a chance to see Colbert tape his last show and held up signs of thanks to the now-former talk show host.
Colbert opened the show not with his usual monologue but with a message to the audience: “This show, I want you to know, has been a joy for us to do for you,” he told the camera. “In fact, we call this show the ‘Joy Machine.'”
See Mel Gibson’s new Jesus in The Resurrection of the Christ first look
Jaakko Ohtonen takes over for Jim Caviezel in the upcoming sequels.
He has risen.
On Thursday, Lionsgate marked the end of filming on Mel Gibson’s The Resurrection of the Christ by releasing the first look at the long-awaited follow-up to 2004’s The Passion of the Christ.
In the above image, Finnish actor Jaakko Ohtonen officially steps in as Jesus, taking over the role from original star Jim Caviezel. EW previously reported that Caviezel, 57, would have needed to be de-aged for the movie, which is set three days after Christ’s crucifixion on Good Friday, and so recasting was the easier option.
Additionally, the part of Mary Magdalene, originally portrayed by Monica Bellucci, is now being played by Mariela Garriga, the Cuban actress known for costarring in both Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One and Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.
20 Ways to Use Baking Soda That Go Far Beyond the Kitchen
Baking soda isn’t just for baking—try using it for these household cleaning uses, too.
Baking soda might just be the most versatile staple in your pantry. Also known as sodium bicarbonate, baking soda is an alkaline compound that produces small bubbles of carbon dioxide gas when mixed with an acid (such as vinegar, lemon juice, or buttermilk), making it ideal for leavening cakes, breads, and cookies to fluffy perfection.
But its uses go far beyond raising our favorite cake and cookie recipes. Baking soda’s naturally abrasive texture and chemical properties make it ideal for household cleaning uses as well, especially when scrubbing and scouring dirt, deodorizing bad smells, and lifting stubborn stains. “Baking soda is an economical and environmentally friendly cleaning option,” says Marla Mock, president of Molly Maid. “It’s also a versatile cleaner that can tackle various cleaning tasks.”
We talked with cleaning experts for their best tips on how to clean with baking soda around your home.
The Overlooked Items You Should Unplug Before a Storm Hits
Better safe than sorry.
When bad weather rolls into town, most people focus on tasks like gathering bottled water and charging their phones. But according to electricians, one of the smartest things you can do before a storm is to unplug certain electronics and appliances.
And no, just turning them off won’t cut the mustard. During lightning storms and other major grid disturbances, extra voltage can travel through your home’s electrical system in an instant, permanently damaging electronics and appliances. This can be avoided—if you know what to unplug.
Here’s what they’d unplug before a storm, as well as why these items are commonly overlooked, according to licensed electricians.
This Italian City Is an Affordable Alternative to Venice—and It Has Gorgeous Canals, Charming Markets, and Few Crowds
Don’t forget to have some tiramisu before you leave.
Roughly 30 to 40 minutes from Venice, Treviso sits firmly in insiders-only territory: it has the same canals, same soft light, and same DNA as the nearby city—minus the crowds.
The Veneti call it Città d’Acqua, the city of water, and sometimes la piccola Venezia della terraferma, the little Venice of the mainland. Walk its streets, and you’ll understand why. The rivers Sile and Botteniga thread through the city, splitting into narrow canals called cagnani that wind past waterwheels, frescoed facades, and medieval palazzi with crenellated parapets. Every corner earns its postcard and Instagram post. Even Dante noticed, name-dropping Treviso in “The Divine Comedy” as the place “where the Sile and the Cagnan go hand in hand”—a small literary shoutout the city celebrates to this day.
The 10 Most Affordable European Cities for a Weekend Trip—all Under $950
Yes, you really can experience Europe for less.
For travelers short on time or budget, a trip to Europe can feel out of reach—but that’s no longer the case. Many cities are easy to explore over a long weekend, and prices may be more affordable than expected, especially if you know where to look. Unbeknownst to many, that value is most apparent in Eastern Europe, said Sarah Kennedy, a travel trends expert at Kayak, noting that the region is emerging as the smartest choice for a European weekend because it delivers standout value without sacrificing culture, food, or style.
