A trio of high-fashion divas came to the Cannes Film Festival premiere of La Bola Negra to do what? Serve looks, of course! Let’s assess their servings.
DEMI MOORE IN SELF-PORTRAIT
SHE PUT A WIG ON HER HEAD. Demi, THANK YOU for not giving us yet another opportunity to bitch about your hair. It’s amazing how much better she looks without forty pounds of tresses hanging off her. The dress is fine. The color is gorgeous but the flounces are wildly out of proportion. She loves herself some massive jewelry pieces but they tend to overwhelm her.
PENÉLOPE CRUZ IN CHANEL
Who can argue with that? We can’t say we’re loving the flower puffs, but we like that the look is fairly simple but still has impact because she looks so good in it. Sometimes, the right black dress and a matching pair of pumps is all a gal needs. Some killer diamond earrings also help, as does being an international movie star.
TILDA SWINTON IN CHANEL COUTURE
Oh thank God. The pope is back to being weird. We had become a bit concerned, as Pope Tilda I had spent recent months working some fairly conventional fashion. We didn’t want to believe that the pontiff had lost her edge. Well, she hasn’t — clearly. We’re only so-so on the pants (we think they should have an ombre element as well) but we LOVE the top.
