Sandra Hüller and Ryan Gosling put on their spiffiest fits and hit the red carpet at the New York premiere of Project Hail Mary. We’re afraid we have good news and bad news to report.
Ryan Gosling in Dolce & Gabbana

The good news is that Ryan Gosling is getting his style mojo back. It’s genuinely thrilling to see a guy working pattern, color and contrast in a suit on a red carpet after several years of them dressing like security professionals and lawyers. Love the pink shirt, love the check, love that the shoes coordinate with the tie. Don’t love the lack of a belt or the shiny finish on said tie. If you’re going to make leather ties your thing, choose ones with a matte finish. And now, the bad news:
Sandra Hüller in Prada

Your girl got Prada’d so hard she may never recover from it. We realize that people can convince themselves of all sorts of things if they have good reason to do so. We don’t like to do the whole “What was she thinking?!?” thing. But we seriously question the judgment of anyone who would look at that…thing — Seriously, what even is that? — and think it makes the perfect little outfit for a photo opp.

She just looks silly as hell.
ABOUT THE MOVIE:
Science teacher Ryland Grace (Ryan Gosling) wakes up on a spaceship light years from home with no recollection of who he is or how he got there. As his memory returns, he begins to uncover his mission: solve the riddle of the mysterious substance causing the sun to die out.
