She did it again! Queen Máxima’s winning style streak continued as she celebrated the opening of Theater KamaK in Hengelo, a professional theater that works with actors with developmental disabilities. It’s SUCH a queenly sort of engagement and she absolutely dressed the part.

It’s very matchy and it’s very royal-specific, which means that, much like Princess Catherine’s style, it would look insufferably stuffy on any regular person under 75 or so. It’s not trendy and most people don’t dress this way, but it looks perfectly regal, especially with the turban. We won’t suggest that the shoe color is wrong, but this would instantly look more stylish if a subtle contrasting color was brought in there. We think the earrings clash slightly and she’d have been better in gold jewelry all around. And finally, the wild royal tresses are tamed once again. At the length she tends to prefer, she’s so much better wearing it up or back for these sorts of engagements.
