It’s a new year and we thought we’d kick things off with a BAM. One Battle After Another Star Teyana Taylor continued her winning red carpet streak into the new year with a dramatic gown choice for the Palm Springs Film Festival Awards.

As we said: “BAM.” Cynthia Erivo is pissed. Teyana’s got a preference for smooshed babyheads, i.e., a bust fit that’s way too tight. It’s a recurring flaw in her style, although she’d likely call it a deliberate choice. Either way, it does tend to bring the looks down a bit. There’s nothing wrong with an overflowing cup, but she always looks like she can’t take a full breath. We like the basic design, although we think there are too many different textiles and textures happening in a relatively small area. Love the hair and makeup.
