And now, a cute boy to judge. One sad result of awards campaigning season is that our red carpet coverage tends to skew overwhelmingly female because when a ladystar wages an Oscar campaign, it’s a veritable parade of gowns and highly discussable dresses. When a guystar does it, he just has to settle on a single tux and a neutral-colored suit and call it good. So long as the shoes are polished, everyone applauds his efforts. Everyone except these two bitches, that is. Jacob Elordi came to the Gotham Film Awards flush with the success of Frankenstein and dressed like an ’80s finance guy.

First: we appreciate the fit, which is perfect and that’s notable because these things get difficult for the super-tall guys. Second: we also appreciate the contrasting tie and shirt. Personally, we’d have liked more contrast between the shirt and suit, but we’ll take these baby steps. At least everything isn’t the same color. LOVE the coat. Our only quibble is with the grooming. That wispy stache isn’t doing anything for him and the boy band hair looks wrong with the outfit.
