Anya Taylor-Joy stepped out onto the red carpet at the Marrakech International Film Festival in a Tom Ford creation that we know we’re supposed to hate, given our history. Instead, we only mildly dislike it. You, on the other hand, are probably going to hate it.

Yeah, it’s lingerie. And no, we haven’t changed our minds about exposed bras or overly tricky strap situations. We still find that whole deal kind of annoying. But we’ll say this: we appreciate that the design makes a choice between exposing the bra or exposing the panties and settled on the former. We also think, bra and strap situation aside, that there’s a certain elegance and interest to the design that elevates from the usual public peignoir. And finally, we think she looks great in black and we also think it’s good for her to get away from some of the freaky designs she tends to favor and into some straight up sexy glamour. It’s good for the career. If this had a more normal neckline and reduced the number of straps by half, we’d like it unreservedly.
