Julia Roberts came to the LA premiere of After The Hunt having made some CHOICES. We’re not even going to be coy about it, since the picture above tends to limit the scrolldown shock.

Hunh. If you held this dress up and asked us which celebrity should wear it to their next film premiere, we can say with utter conviction and certainty that not only would Julia Roberts not be our first choice, she wouldn’t be our fiftieth. Or one-thousandth. What we’re trying to say is girl, that is so very not your dress. Part of the reason she does so well with menswear-inspired styles is because they play into her own unfussy persona and broadcast the self-confidence that tends to define her public face. It’s not that a dress like this demonstrates a lack of self-confidence, but it sure doesn’t have the breezy, deal-with-it vibe of her better style efforts. It just feels fussy and silly in a way that doesn’t suit her. The color looks great on her, though. And it’s genuinely exciting to see Sabyasachi high jewelry on the red carpet, but the frock is just not right.
