The Best, Worst and Most Oops Moments of the 2025 AMAs
The American Music Awards Monday night were all about the icons, from Janet Jackson’s return to live TV to the surprising return of the mullet

The American Music Awards, hosted by Jennifer Lopez, took place on Monday, May 26 at Fontainebleau Las Vegas on May 26, presenting a mix of fan-voted awards, icons taking the stage and moments that got social media buzzing.
From Lopez’s high-intensity hosting gig that included everything from dancer makeouts to multiple wardrobe changes, to the return of a hairstyle you might have thought was left in the past, the AMAs gave us plenty to talk about during the show and well into tomorrow.

New categories this year included Album of the Year and Song of the Year, both won by Eilish, as well as Social Song of the Year, which Doechii’s “Anxiety” claimed.

A Sun-Drenched Escape in Diamonds and Pearls
Your high jewellery guide for summer

Somewhere between reality and reverie lies the idea of spending a summer on a Greek island—Ithaca, to be precise—the inspiration behind the Marie Claire summer 2025 jewellery shoot.
It’s the sun-drenched shimmer of sea glass underfoot, the salt-sweet breeze that tangles your hair, and the sound of waves lapping against the shore that set the scene for this imagined escape. Equal parts nostalgia, daydream and luxury—all told through jewellery.
In this jewel-drenched series, each piece adds to the Ithaca story: of treasures washed up from the deep, of celestial inspiration under Grecian night skies, or of new talismans that look just as chic paired with a simple bikini as they do with an extravagant evening gown.

Statement Cuffs are Back in the Spotlight For 2025
It’s a cuff revival

When it comes to accessories, few pieces of jewellery work as hard as a cuff bracelet. Yet this classic item has had something of a hiatus since its heyday around 2011, when Stefano Pilati at Saint Laurent designed the Arty collection — a line that had every fashion insider worth her salt scrambling to purchase one of his gold brass cuffs set with coloured glass stones.
Fast forward more than a decade and statement cuffs are back in the spotlight and have cool girls embracing them as their go-to jewellery to instantly elevate any look this season.

What is a ‘parentified daughter’ and how can you tell if you are one?
The Rory Gilmore effect.

I grew up secretly wishing I had Lorelai Gilmore for a mother — but that was before I knew about the parentified daughter cycle. What fun, I thought, to have a young, fun mother; a mother who wore rhinestones and Daisy Dukes; a mother who wanted to lounge around eating pizza and junk food; a mother who I could call my best friend.
However, rewatching Gilmore Girls as an adult, I can’t help but recoil in horror at Lorelai’s parenting.

33 best summer jewellery pieces to elevate any outfit
Pearls, shells, mixed metals and resin.

Floaty dresses, linen trousers, bikinis, one-piece swimsuits, SPF, sunglasses and the best summer jewellery. If that’s not what your holiday packing list looks like, you’re doing something wrong.
Anyone that knows me can vouch for the fact that my accessories collection comes alive during the warmer months and that I go mad for jewellery in particular. From pearls and beads to resin bangles, mixed metals and shells, if it’s brightly coloured, waterproof/tarnish-free, or standout-ish in any way, I’m wearing it.

Downton Abbey Creator Julian Fellowes Criticizes Prince William Over Building Next To Historic Mansion
“The people who approved this clearly do not appreciate the history of the county and the importance of Thomas Hardy to the area,” Fellowes said of plans to build near the celebrated novelist’s residence.

If the creator of Downton Abbey, Julian Fellowes, had extended the series into the 21st century, he would possibly have written an episode in which the construction of a modern building threatens the beautiful views of the Crawley family in their Yorkshire palace.
Very committed to the protection of the architectural heritage of his country, the Briton has now raised his voice against the Duchy of Cornwall for the plan to build a hundred houses next to the historic residence of the novelist Thomas Hardy in Dorset.
That pits him against Prince William, who as Duke of Cornwall has been managing the duchy’s real estate assets since his father’s accession to the throne.

All About the Zodiac’s Fixed Signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius
Which signs are rule breakers on the outside and rule makers on the inside? Introducing the zodiac’s fixed signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius. There’s an undeniable ferocity with this cosmic quartet, but here’s a little secret: They’re not as spontaneous as they seem.

18 Non-Neon Summer Nail Designs To Try Now The Sun Is Out
Now that summer is finally on the horizon, it’s time to start thinking about warm weather beauty, and of course, summer nail designs. Top of the agenda? Designs and colours that lift the mood and put a smile on your face. According to Juanita Huber-Millet, founder and creative director of luxury nail salon brand Townhouse, it’s the ocean that inspires this season – think translucent bases, pearl details, shimmering chrome top coats and subtle gold accents.
“High shine is giving way to iridescence, and softer, nature-inspired textures are replacing some of the more maximalist designs,” she says. “It’s a nod to our connection to the sea and the serenity and sense of calm it instills. This ‘blue mind theory’ is finding its way into beauty, fashion, interiors and now nails.” So, don’t be surprised to see a blue renaissance this summer, with aquamarine, turquoise, cyan, cobalt, periwinkle and cerulean all trending.

The two have been a couple since 2022, and their official engagement took place the following year with a marriage proposal and a pear-cut diamond engagement ring.
Very little is known about the ceremony at the moment but fashion addicts know the juiciest detail is clearly the Vivienne Westwood wedding dress chosen by the former Disney star, which she shared in a first-look with Vogue.

Demi Lovato Is Married—and Shares the Story Behind Her Vivienne Westwood Wedding Dress
Musician and actor Demi Lovato and singer-songwriter Jordan “Jutes” Lutes are officially married! The couple met in the studio in January 2022, while working together on music for Demi’s album Holy Fvck. After nearly two years of dating, Jordan proposed to the Disney Channel alum in December 2023. He worked with Material Good’s Teresa Panico to create the pear-shaped diamond ring.

To Find The Best German Wine, Look For The Grape Eagle
It’s not always easy to decipher German wine labels, but when in doubt, just look for the eagle to guide your next glass choice.

Let’s face it, unless you’re fluent in German, trying to decipher a German wine label can be daunting. Between the umlauts, lengthy compound words, and classifications based on grape ripeness levels, even seasoned wine enthusiasts might be puzzled.
However, there’s a symbol that cuts through the confusion: a golden eagle clutching a cluster of grapes. It represents the Verband Deutscher Prädikatsweingüter (VDP), an association of Germany’s top estates committed to producing wines of the highest quality. When you spot this eagle on a bottle, it’s a reliable indicator that the wine was crafted with exceptional care and precision.

The new Saltburn? Sunstruck is a riveting summer tale of grandeur and heartache
William Rayfet Hunter’s debut novel Sunstruck is the hottest high society read of the summer
Seeking a new novel to fill the the void of dysfunctional British aristocrats left by Saltburn? Enter Sunstruck by William Rayfet Hunter. It tells the tale of a mixed-race Mancunian student who falls under the thumb of an obscenely wealthy family from London. Bathed in sunlight and opulence, the unnamed narrator is seduced by the promise of financial security after spending a summer in their French chateau. But all that glitters isn’t gold in this cavernous manor where the protagonist unearths issues of grotesque privilege and racism.

What Made Nat King Cole, and These 5 Songs, Unforgettable
Colman Domingo and Patricia McGregor’s play “Lights Out” explores the beloved yet complicated performer who was subtly “advancing who we are as Americans.”
In November 1956, Nat King Cole was given his own variety show on NBC. It drew major guest stars and got good ratings, but was abandoned just over a year later because it couldn’t secure a single national sponsor; brands were too nervous about boycotts from racist viewers.
“Madison Avenue is afraid of the dark,” Cole observed at the time.
He couldn’t have been too shocked. Cole may have been one of the biggest pop stars of his time, charting 86 singles and 17 albums in the Top 40, but he was, after all, the first Black man to host a nationally broadcast program. (He referred to himself as “the Jackie Robinson of television.”) In 1948, when he moved into Los Angeles’s all-white Hancock Park neighborhood, a cross was burned on his lawn. A few months before the TV show debuted, Ku Klux Klansmen attacked him onstage at his concert in Birmingham, Ala., shoving him off his piano bench.

Sebastião Salgado, Acclaimed Brazilian Photographer, Is Dead at 81
Known for his powerfully impactful images of nature and the human condition, he was widely regarded as one of the most important documentary photographers of his time.

“Through the lens of his camera, Sebastião tirelessly fought for a more just, humane and ecological world,” Mr. Salgado’s family said in a statement. “Rich in humanistic content, this work offers a sensitive perspective on the most disadvantaged populations and addresses the environmental issues threatening our planet.”
Working mostly in black and white, Mr. Salgado garnered widespread acclaim at home and abroad with his striking images of the natural world and the human condition, often traveling around the globe to photograph impoverished and vulnerable communities. In all, he worked in more than 120 countries throughout his career.

Inside the 78th Annual Cannes Film Festival, From the Stars to the Stragglers
A few things are certain every Cannes Film Festival: great films, glamorous fashion, ostentatiously long standing ovations, and a gaggle of loiterers just outside the theater looking to find their way in. For this year’s 78th edition, where Jafar Panahi’s thriller It Was Just An Accident won the Palme d’Or—a record sixth consecutive Palme win for its distributor, Neon—we asked the Spanish photographer Francesc Planes to document it all, from the stars to the scalpers. The result is a panoramic look at Cannes as it really is: stylish, sunburnt, and crawling with canines.

“Haunted by the Ghost of Hollywood”: Inside Ryan Murphy’s New Suite at the Chateau Marmont
For anyone who’s ever slipped into a booth at the storied Chateau Marmont, the hotel is less a place than a feeling—one of decadence, myth, and mischief. Few understand that better than Ryan Murphy, the maestro of Hollywood myth-making. The prolific creator behind Glee, American Horror Story, Feud and countless other prestige television shows has long used the Chateau as both a creative sanctuary and a personal hideout. “I’ve done almost every major actor meeting of my career there,” he explains. Enter Trevor Cheney, the gallerist and designer Murphy enlisted to help reimagine not one but two suites at the hotel as part of his new residency. The first is a reverent nod to the hotel’s 1920s art deco origins, fit with its original chartreuse drapes and nostalgic pink sheets. The second room, previously inhabited by Led Zeppelin, channels a more debauched spirit, with its British antiques and orange raffia wallpaper, evocative of rock and roll history. In conversation earlier this month, Murphy and Cheney got to talking about the ghosts of old Hollywood, writing Glee in the Chateau’s lobby many years ago, and how Murphy briefly bankrupted himself when he moved into the hotel during his first few years in L.A.

After navigating the ‘lowest point’ of his life, Joe Jonas is letting his music speak for itself
Fourteen years after his solo debut, and less than a year after a highly publicized divorce, the Jonas Brother has released his most personal work yet: “I just felt like it was all crumbling around me.”

Joe Jonas is no stranger to the spotlight.
Alongside his siblings Nick and Kevin, he’s been filling stadiums and concert venues for two decades, thanks to the massive global success of the Jonas Brothers’ smash singles and platinum albums. His personal life has been piquing tabloid interest since he was a teenager. Even after the band went their separate ways in 2013 (a split since remedied), Joe did not stray too far from center stage, forming his dance-rock project, DNCE, two years later, and notching another international hit and an MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist for the group.
But this time is different. Fourteen years after putting out his debut solo album, Joe is going it alone once again for its follow-up, Music for People Who Believe in Love.
