Catherine O’Hara Cried So Hard She Made Pedro Pascal Lose It
Spoilers follow for the sixth episode of The Last of Us’s second season, which premiered on HBO May 18.
You’ve spoken elsewhere about not being particularly drawn to more intense material because of the headspace it might put you in. What convinced you to do the show?
When I read things, I do think, Oh boy, how much do I want that in my life? So one of my first thoughts with this script was, Do I have to meet the infected? It was nice to know I wasn’t going to. But I loved the idea that there would be a therapist in this world — and the fact that she would be the only therapist in this town. How could they possibly have any kind of mental stability themselves? So the idea of this one person was just dark and hilarious to me. It’s just good writing, too.

Justin Bieber’s response to the Hailey Bieber Vogue cover has divided the internet
Is this their humour, or…

Maybe this is one of those situations where a couple has its own sense of humour that doesn’t make perfect sense from the outside? After his wife, Hailey Bieber, appeared looking happy, healthy, and gorgeous on the cover of the June 2025 issue of Vogue, Justin Bieber took to Instagram to congratulate the model on the achievement in a sort of backhanded way.
“Yo this reminds me when Hailey and I got into a huge fight, I told hails that she would never be on the cover of vogue, Yikes I know, so mean, For some reason because I felt so disrespected I thought I gotta get even..” he wrote on Instagram, posting the cover and one of the shots from the editorial. First of all, it’s a little bit funny to think about the world of celebrity where “you will never be on the cover of Vogue” is a legitimate insult, but also, Justin is correct that this is a mean thing to say to one’s wife.

Ketamine therapy is going mainstream due to The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, but what actually is it?
Here’s what you need to know.

Despite being one of the world’s most controversial, taboo narcotics, ketamine therapy is currently going viral as an alternative way to treat trauma, anxiety disorders and depression thanks to The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
A TikTok post teasing Season 2 invites you to watch Jen Affleck and husband Zac try ketamine therapy to reconnect as they struggle with their turbulent marriage. In the clip, the couple can be seen entering a clinic, where Jen remarks that ketamine therapy “is supposed to reset a lot of past traumas or habits you’ve created” and “Zac trying ketamine is a pure example of how much he is willing to do to show up for our relationship.”

‘Ghost blonde’ is the hair colour we’re obsessing over this summer
Like ‘no makeup’ makeup – but for hair.

Soft-focus glam is everywhere right now. Rather than acid yellow nails, we’ve fallen for creamy butter yellow. A statement eye has been replaced by tonal makeup…and ‘ghost blonde’ is the new, dialled down way to get lighter strands this summer.
Not to be confused with TikTok’s ‘ghost roots’ – where the ends of the hair are kept dark and the roots an icy blonde – the ghost blonde trend is exactly as it sounds. Rather than harsh highlights or sun-bleached blonde, ghost blonde reads softer and more natural with hushed – almost invisible – lighter hues woven throughout the hair.

The best mesh ballet flats to wear this summer, from Alaïa to Arket
Flip-flops? I don’t know her.

Sheerness is the hottest thing in fashion right now — and the best mesh ballet flats are taking the see-through look to a chic new level. The shoe trend kicked off in earnest last year, when premium buys from luxury brands like Khaite, Alaïa, and The Row went mega-viral. But now, thanks to copycats and new spins by everyone from Arket to Zara, the breezy ballet flats are even more popular. Seriously: we can hardly scroll through Instagram without seeing a pair.

How The Small Screen Trumped Street Style as The New Source of Fashion Inspo
TV wardrobes are influencing what we wear IRL more than ever

For many of us, there’s only one question informing our summer holiday wardrobes this year. Are we more of a Chelsea, or a Chloe? (Or even a Jacqueline or a Victoria…) That’s because unless you’ve been living under a very large rock since the beginning of the year, you’ll have been aware of how incredible the fashion in the most recent season of The White Lotus has been—and how easy it is to recreate in your own wardrobe (whether you’re staying at the Four Seasons in Phuket or not).
There’s no denying it: we are in a golden age of fashion inspiration from television.

Privé View: Inside Giorgio Armani’s Couture Retrospective in Milan
The atmosphere suddenly shifted after around 20 minutes of exploring Giorgio Armani’s jaw-dropping new exhibition dedicated to his 20 years of couture. It was just after noon this Monday in Milan: Mr. Armani’s team had spent the weekend fine-tuning the installation of around 150 looks here at Armani/Silos, the four-story former granary he transformed into a museum back in 2015.
Downstairs, that team had seemed purposeful but perfectly at ease: after all, 90% of the work before this exhibition—entitled “Giorgio Armani Privé 2005-2025, Twenty Years of Haute Couture”—opens tomorrow had been completed. Placed at the center of the Silos’ cavernous atrium was a full-skirted off-the-shoulder gown from fall 2019 that had been worn just last week by Irina Shayk at the opening of the Cannes film festival. Its layered surface of white pinpoints dotted above an inky black nicely reflected the abstract starscape projected against the soaring walls around us.

What Are the Differences Between Arabica and Robusta Coffee Beans?
Robusta is double the caffeine of arabica, for one.

When you take that first sip of morning coffee, it’s likely there’s little on your mind beyond getting a jolt of caffeine to jumpstart the day. But there’s a lot to learn about what’s brewing inside your cup.
While there are nearly 120 different varieties of coffee plants, arabica and robusta are the only two that can be harvested for their beans. These two varieties couldn’t be more different, from the regions where each bean thrives, to the resulting flavor profile and caffeine content contained in each.

Everybody Knew His Name: ‘Norm!’
George Wendt of “Cheers,” who died on Tuesday, could walk into a bar and imply his character’s entire life outside it.

Man walks into a bar.
It’s the starting point for a million jokes. And for season after season on “Cheers,” some of the best of those were delivered by George Wendt, who died on Tuesday at age 76, as the long-suffering Norm Peterson.
We knew him, above all, from his entrances, throwing open the door of the show’s namesake tavern, greeted with a hearty — all together now — “Norm!” You could say that he was the character whom the show’s theme-song lyrics (“Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name”) were about.

Where Is the Cheers Cast Now? A Look at the Stars’ Lives After the Show, Including George Wendt’s Legacy
‘Cheers’ skyrocketed several actors — including George Wendt, Ted Danson and Kelsey Grammer — to fame

Everybody knew their names.
The hit sitcom Cheers helped launch the careers of several actors who stayed in the spotlight years after the series ended on May 20, 1993.
The NBC show starred Ted Danson, Kelsey Grammer, Rhea Perlman, John Ratzenberger and George Wendt as they played a group of friends talking about their everyday lives at their favorite bar in Boston.
The show lost a cast member on May 20, when Wendt died at the age of 76. He died on the 32nd anniversary of the series finale.

The Doors frontman Jim Morrison’s stolen grave bust recovered after 37 years
The bust of the “Light My Fire” singer had been missing since it was stolen from the Père Lachaise cemetery in 1988.

A decades-long cold case has been put to rest thanks to the French police.
In an Instagram post shared on Friday, May 16, the Paris Regional Judicial Police Directorate revealed that a sculpture of the late American singer Jim Morrison has been found after being stolen from his Paris grave 37 years ago.
“After 37 years of absence, the bust of Jim Morrison, stolen in 1988 from the Père Lachaise cemetery, has been found,” the post reads. “During an investigation conducted by the Financial and Anti-Corruption Brigade of the Directorate of Judicial Police of the Prefecture of Police, under the authority of the Paris Public Prosecutor’s Office, this iconic symbol for the singer’s fans was recovered.”

10 Things Even Minimalists Say You Should Never Throw Away
If they say these are worth holding onto, you know they’re essential.

A clutter-free space is known to reduce fatigue, boost energy, and increase focus and productivity. But before you start throwing all your stuff away in a rush of resolve to reclaim your space, consider pausing to consider each item carefully. After all, you haven’t accrued your possessions by mistake. This Beach in Spain Was Named the Happiest in the World—and It Has Smooth Sand, Warm Waters, and a ‘Peaceful Sea Area’
Sitges Beach in Barcelona came in at No. 1.

We’re pretty sure any day at any beach could be just the thing to make anyone happier. However, it turns out there are some beaches around the world that are a little bit better than others at packing in the joy.
In March, CV Villas, a global luxury villa rental company, unveiled its list of the happiest beaches in the world. The way the company went about finding them was rather scientific. It first created a seed list of 103 of the world’s most popular beaches. Next, it analyzed over 1,000 Instagram photos tagged in each beach and used AWS Rekognition software to analyze the images to find “positive facial expressions.” It then calculated an average smile score for each beach (giving it a grade from 0 to 100) and ranked them from highest to lowest.
