Netflix has released the trailer and first look images for season 2 of The Sandman and we can’t “meh” it hard enough, which is a shame, because there was a time when this would have represented a dream come true – pun intended – for Tom, who’s been a Sandman fan of long standing. But as we noted in a podcast earlier this year, the charges against Sandman creator Neil Gaiman are so egregious that we simply can’t separate the art from the artist this time. We feel bad for the cast members (unlike that string of POSs that just signed on for the Harry Potter remake), but we’re not gonna be paying this one any attention at all.

The Dream King Returns…

After a fateful reunion with his family, Dream of the Endless (Tom Sturridge) must face one impossible decision after another as he attempts to save himself, his kingdom, and the waking world from the epic fallout of his past misdeeds. To make amends, Dream must confront longtime friends and foes, gods, monsters, and mortals. But the path to forgiveness is full of unexpected twists and turns, and true absolution may cost Dream everything. Based on the beloved award-winning DC comic series, the second season of THE SANDMAN will tell Dream’s story arc in full to its thrilling conclusion.

Netflix’s epic fantasy series The Sandman returns for its second and final season in two Volumes this July:
