Shall we be swanky today, darlings? After all, it’s THURSDAY and that calls for a little bit of occasionally delusional elegance, don’t you think? Let’s order something we’ve never tried before. Let’s gossip. Let’s not do anything we’re supposed to do today.

Demi Moore Says Intuition Is Her Biggest Wellness Weapon — Here’s How To Follow Yours And Feel Better
Today’s world is loud and if you find the mere concept of tuning into your own internal language overwhelming, then here’s your go-to, step-by-step guide to developing your own intuitive abilities.
The year is 2010 and Demi Moore, then-wife of Ashton Kutcher, mother-of-three and storied Hollywood star, is nestled on a sofa next to Laura Day, a psychic to the stars. ‘There was a point in my career when I was being encouraged to do a film for what felt like the wrong reasons, for monetary reasons,’ Moore confesses to Day. ‘But I had an overwhelming sense of intuition that it wasn’t right, that it felt unsafe, that there were elements that really were wrong. And what’s interesting is that I didn’t follow my intuition, I allowed myself to be persuaded and the biggest part of why that was created was that I didn’t have enough self-confidence or trust in my own information.’
Fast forward fifteen years and it’s this very notion of intuitive living that Moore has credited her most recent win of People magazine’s World’s Most Beautiful 2025 to.
A Beautiful Mess: Carrie Fisher’s Brave Brilliance
Her short, snappy memoirs—2008’s Wishful Drinking, 2011’s Shockaholic, and 2016’s The Princess Diarist—prove that the Star Wars legend and ace screenwriter was one of a kind.
“If my life wasn’t funny it would just be true,” Carrie Fisher writes in her delightful 2008 memoir Wishful Drinking, “and that is unacceptable.”
The multi-talented Fisher was many things: an actress appearing in classics like Star Wars, Shampoo, The Burbs, and When Harry Met Sally; a beloved guest star on shows including Sex and The City, Catastrophe, and 30 Rock; and a brilliant writer who was known as the best script doctor in Hollywood.
In Fisher’s short, snappy memoirs—Wishful Drinking, 2011’s Shockaholic, and 2016’s The Princess Diarist—the ultimate nepo baby tells the story of her operatic life like she’s talking to an old friend, with bracing honesty, and zingy one liners. “I confide in everyone,” she confesses in The Princess Diarist. “I have no restricted private self, reserved specifically for certain trusted special people. I trust and mistrust anyone.”
Garrett Wareing Takes Us to the Set of ‘Ransom Canyon’
Actor Garrett Wareing is a born and raised Texan, making his work on Netflix’s Ransom Canyon — a romantic neo-Western starring Minka Kelly and Josh Duhamel — all the more meaningful.
“My grandfather was a rodeo clown and bull-rider, as was my great-grandfather,” Wareing tells PAPER. “I feel that I’m continuing that country legacy.” Playing heartthrob Lucas Russell, Wareing brought a deep understanding of Texas culture to lend his character a grounded sense of place. “The whole Texan lifestyle runs in my blood,” Wareing says. “[My co-star] Lizzy [Greene] and I both helped inform our writers about Texan culture and lingo. It was so cool to see Texan staples like Blue Bell Ice Cream, Whataburger and UT getting some screen time and shoutouts.”
As a perfume-obsessed beauty editor, I can’t believe it’s taken me 25 years to try this classic Y2K scent
It was worth the wait
Like almost every beauty editor I know, my fascination with beauty products started young. I’d spend hours poring over the Avon catalogues that came through the front door while I was still in primary school and, if I were lucky, my mum would let me pick out a fruity body mist or a tinted lip balm as a treat. Once I hit my teenage years and could buy my own magazines, I’d cut out pictures of colourful eyeshadows or body shimmers and stick them into wishlists in my scrapbook. As for perfume? Well, I was utterly obsessed. I’d tear out the fragrance samples that you’d find inside the pages of the monthly glossies and save them for special occasions (aka a friend’s bowling birthday party) and every birthday and Christmas, I’d ask for a new scent. And since I came of age in the noughties, when beauty brands had started to target a younger demographic, there was no shortage of covetable perfumes.
I have no time to be faffing with brushes, but a make-up sponge is an essential in my routine—here are the 6 best
Essential for smooth, seamless skin
Speed is very much of the essence when it comes to my morning beauty routine, and the contents of my make-up bag very much reflect that. Skin tints that provide coverage and glow, cream blushes that can double as lipstick, and eyebrow gels that tint and groom are where it’s at for me. And as for application? If it can’t be applied with my fingertips, then I tend to forget it. However, there is one tool that I reach for daily to assist my haphazard blending and buffing, and that’s a make-up sponge. Because while I have no time to get to grips with an assortment of different-sized make-up brushes with a whole array of specific uses, a make-up sponge makes for an incredibly versatile tool that just helps to make my finished look a little more polished. And make-up artists agree.
I used to hate running – but this type of training has helped me to run three sub 1 hour 30 half marathons
Keen to improve your speed?
Running is having a bit of a moment, isn’t it? In the spotlight as an affordable, accessible way to boost your fitness, Google Search around the topic has been steadily rising since 2020, with run clubs popping up left, right and centre around the globe.
Spoiler alert: while I now run most days, I used to really, really dislike cardio. I found running boring, difficult and unrewarding – that was, until one particular Runner’s World article about the many benefits of running caught my eye and I decided to sign up for my first 5km race. From better cardio fitness, to improved muscle tone, to boosted mental health, running is a real all-rounder, with one 2020 study concluding that running improves both mood and mental health and a further Psychonomic Bulletin and Review paper credited the “insurmountable” proof that regular exercise curbs age-related cognitive decline.
Basket bags are undeniably the hero accessory of SS25—and beyond
The perfect investment
The Loewe x Paula’s Ibiza collection has just dropped, which can only mean one thing: the season of basket bags has officially begun.
No one is reinventing the sartorial wheel here. When it comes to wardrobe basics, the accessory is top of the list, especially for summer.
Basket bags—a long-time staple amongst the French crowd—are of course as much of a holiday essential as beach bags.
But their appeal goes far beyond your next sunny getaway. They are usually incredibly pared-back in design, never taking away from any outfit, rather adding a touch of insouciance.
Sorry George and Amal, but fighting in a relationship isn’t just healthy – it’s necessary
“It’s simply not realistic for two people to agree on absolutely everything.”
George and Amal Clooney never fight. Like, ever. At least, that’s what George says.
It all started two years ago, when the couple appeared on CBS Mornings and called their marriage “the easiest thing in our lives by far.” They had never, ever, had a fight. In ten years of marriage. Or so they claimed. “It’s maddening to some of our friends,” Amal said. “I have a cousin actually, every time we see him, he’s like, his first question is, ‘So have you had an argument yet?’” George gave an update on his oh-so-perfect, fight-free marriage when he returned to CBS Mornings yesterday. “We still haven’t,” he said. “We’re trying to find something to fight about.”

I’m a beauty editor and this is the only perfume I’ll be wearing this summer
Hello sunshine.
I’m sitting in my flat smelling of damp dog after being caught in an April rain shower. But mentally I’m in St Tropez, my skin bronzed and slick as a wet seal after a liberal application of after-sun. A sniff of Celine’s newest perfume was all it took to transport me there.
Normally I like to sit with a new scent for a while so, whenever a blotter is thrust under my nose in a department store, I tend to default to a gummy, non-committal smile before lumbering awkwardly in the opposite direction of the beauty hall. But at the launch of the Celine pop-up in Selfridges’ Corner Shop, things went down a little differently.

Pamela Anderson on Styling—And Finding—Herself
‘The Last Showgirl’ star put together every look on her recent press tour. Turns out, her fashion instincts were right all along.
While the phrase “cultural renaissance” gets thrown around quite a bit, in Anderson’s case, recent Pamela-mania has been a long time coming. In January, her Golden Globe– and SAG–nominated performance in The Last Showgirl finally convinced audiences and critics that she has serious acting chops—something Barb Wire fans and Anderson herself have known for years. In the beauty world, she sparked a long-overdue conversation about aging in the public eye with her no-makeup red-carpet appearances, starting in 2022. (She’s since dropped the habit, and a new skincare line, Sonsie, with typical nonchalance.)
18 Almond-Shaped Nails That Are Always Trending, According to a Manicurist
This shape works for pretty much everyone.
Between lashes and waxing and laser treatments, there’s only so many beauty appointments that one calendar can handle. To minimize the time that you’re spending at the salon, it’s helpful to have an idea of what you want done ahead of time. This is especially true for nails, because they require you to pick a shape in addition to a color and design. One of the go-to, sure-to-remain-classic nail shape options? Almond-shaped nails. The slightly rounded tip is popular as it works well with most nail designs and elongates the fingers.

Can’t Make Your Restaurant Reservation? Here’s the Right Thing to Do
If you have to pay a cancellation fee, that’s on you.
With the popularity of some restaurants there’s almost no way to have any spontaneity when going because a reservation has to be made weeks in advance. The newest hot spot in town is booked solid and the only way to get a table is to know you want to go there a month from the time you first think about it and you hope you’re still available when the day comes. It’s like when I go to the dentist and they want to book my next cleaning six months later and ask if I’m free. I don’t know what I’m going to be doing tomorrow night, but sure, I’ll commit to something 182 days away.
If you’re making reservations for the next day or for weeks into the future, make sure you understand the cancelation policy. Every restaurant approaches reservations differently.

Need Another Reason to Love Ginger? A New Study Shows It Can Provide a Major Health Benefit
We’ll never say no to more ginger in our life.
Ginger is a welcome addition to many recipes. It’s aromatic, spicy, and carries a hint of earthy, citrusy flavor. But aside from its zesty taste, recent research published in medical journal Cureus discovered that the flowering spice is a natural way to reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease.
The 2025 study analyzed the potential health benefits of ginger in cardiology, with a focus on how it can impact diabetes, high blood pressure, and cholesterol levels. Beyond this, the review also investigated the health benefits of gingerol and shogaol, two phytochemicals — naturally occurring chemicals in plants — found in ginger that are responsible for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
According to the report, ginger contains numerous bioactive compounds that decrease inflammation, lower blood pressure, enhance vascular health, and improve lipid profiles.
Happy and glorious: Tatler’s June cover celebrates the King and Queen with an exclusive portrait from royal artist Phillip Butah, as Their Majesties mark their 20th wedding anniversary
The King handpicked Phillip Butah to capture his first Commonwealth state visit as monarch – now he returns with a royal commission for Tatler: a portrait marking Their Majesties’ 20th wedding anniversary. In Tatler’s June 2025 cover story, he tells Helen Rosslyn about brushes with fame
Phillip Butah’s first artistic memories stretch right back to his early days at nursery school, where he vividly remembers wondering why he saw things in a different way to his classmates. ‘I just seemed to see things that other kids didn’t see – like you know when you are drawing a stickman, I would be, “Well, where is the nose, where are the eyes and ears?” And I would worry about the way people always drew hair the same, like a curly semi-circle on top of the head.’
Although Butah dismisses it as ‘just something I can do’, his was clearly a precocious artistic talent. Quite early in his school career, one of the teachers called his mother in and told her that she had a very gifted child, so his family have always been very proud and supportive of Phillip’s career as an artist.
Does Your Plant Need a Nanny?
A new crop of caretakers will spritz, polish and prune your houseplants — and even send photos while you’re away.
How are Beyoncé, SZA and Dolly Parton doing?
That’s the question on Louis Easton’s mind. But he’s not an assistant or a stylist to the stars — instead, his charges are a monstera, a silver satin pothos and a prayer plant named after the singers. Mr. Easton, better known as the Plant Mon in Los Angeles, is part of a new crop of plant minders who help clients curate and care for their botanical babies.
“Plants are the new pets,” said Brandon Barnett, a founder of Nerdy Plant Co. in Atlanta, a full-service firm that offers design, care and troubleshooting for plant collections on a weekly, biweekly or monthly basis. Mr. Barnett propagated his first plant, a heartleaf philodendron — still his favorite — at 10 years old and has been helping care for other people’s plants since college.
Madeline Brewer Tells Us What It’s Like to Be Penn Badgley’s Final Girl
This week, Joe Goldberg claims his final victim as the beloved Netflix thriller You hurtles toward it’s end inevitable, violent end. Seven years and five seasons later, Penn Badgley’s creepy, charming antagonist will meet (and set his sights on) Bronte, a recent NYC transplant played by the actor Madeline Brewer. “It was a big undertaking, but this show has something so much more important to say than just what’s on the surface,” Brewer told her friend Cazzie David last week when the pair got on a post-binge watch Zoom call. But the New Jersey-born performer, who starred in the first season of Orange Is the New Black and now returns as Janine Lindo in the final season of The Handmaid’s Tale, is no stranger to playing characters navigating portentous or even dystopian circumstances. Before we get to see her make out with Penn Badgley for a whole season while she unknowingly awaits misfortune, Brewer and David got together on a Zoom call to talk about the pressures of joining a beloved series, her relationship with social media, and learning to leave your ego at the door on set.

Theme Parks Dominate the Top Travel Attractions for 2025—and These Are the Most Popular Ones
You could see the “Mona Lisa” … or you could ride a rollercoaster.
People travel for all sorts of reasons—to eat at the best restaurants in the world, to hike the tallest mountains, and to experience vibrant festivals. But according to a new study by travel planning website Trip.com, many people travel for one simple reason: theme parks.
Trip.com recently released the 2025 Global 100, an annual list where it ranks things like the top hotels, attractions, and restaurants across the planet. To determine its rankings, Trip.com combed through data such as verified user ratings, reviews, and booking statistics, as well as factors such as popularity, a destination’s reputation, and quality of service.
But one of the most interesting (and perhaps surprising) things about the report is that the top global attractions are dominated by theme parks.
