PinCarosello Restaurant – Puglia, Italy

It’a THURSDAY, darlings! That’s not exciting, but we’re going to pretend like it is because everything else is terrible! Let’s spend the day loudly drinking wine and talking with our hands.

Tina Fey on Her New Netflix Series: “It Saved Me From Just Shrinking Up Like a Little Granny Apple Head”
Fronting her first series since ’30 Rock,’ ‘The Four Seasons’ creator and star opens up about loss, that Lorne comment and why she’s ignoring the impulse to hide and retire: “I’m always out here hustling.”

Her newest take is on middle age. Fey and fellow 30 Rock writers Tracey Wigfield and Lang Fisher have adapted The Four Seasons, Alan Alda’s 1981 comedy about boomers navigating midlife crises, as a Netflix series out May 1. She stars alongside Steve Carell, Colman Domingo and Will Forte, marking her first regular on-camera TV role since 30 Rock wrapped in 2013. But over a few hours and many cups of coffee — discussing her evolving work-life balance, the pains of making the second Mean Girls movie and her “irreplaceable” mentor, Lorne Michaels — the multihyphenate almost exclusively refers to herself as a writer. She takes multiple detours into astrology and the Enneagram along the way, as well.
“While we’re on nonsense,” says Fey, “there’s all that talk about love languages. I give acts of service. If I like you, my way of showing that is to be like, ‘I wrote this for you.’ I try to help you fix the thing you’re doing. And if I don’t like you, I’m going to write you something so good that you’re going to be ashamed. Either way, I’m always out here hustling.”

Andrew Ahn says Joel Kim Booster ‘always jokes’ that a Fire Island sequel would be like Sex and the City reboot
“It’s 30 years later and they’re older and gayer.”

Attention, girls and gays! The cast and crew of Fire Island have been plotting a return to the Pines.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly about his upcoming remake of Ang Lee’s cult classic rom-com The Wedding Banquet, director Andrew Ahn reveals that “there’s always been conversation about doing a sequel.”
“I don’t know if a real concrete idea has been formed yet, but there are things in the ether,” the filmmaker teases, adding that writer and star Joel Kim Booster “always jokes that it’s going to be like the Sex and the City reboot And Just Like That, where it’s 30 years later and they’re older and gayer.”
“We’ll see what happens,” Ahn adds with a laugh.

Pride & Prejudice’s 20th Anniversary: Its Lasting Allure Proves “Our Bodies Are Wiser Than Our Brains”
Director Joe Wright reflects on Darcy’s iconic hand flex, the nature of yearning, and sweetening the film’s original ending: “Americans like sugar.”

It has been 20 years since Joe Wright triumphantly adapted Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice, but people are still discovering his film, as evidenced by its newest devotee: Wright’s six-year-old daughter, who, to borrow a word from Mr. Darcy, “was completely bewitched” by the movie upon first viewing.
Wright tells Vanity Fair that, until very recently, he hadn’t seen the film in its entirety since its release. “I showed it to my kids, who had never seen it. My 14-year-old and 10-year-old sons thought it was a bit smoochy,” he says. “But most of all, it was just wonderful to see my daughter’s face and how lit up she was by the whole thing. That was really, really gorgeous. I was quite young when we made the film, so to have had kids and see it through their eyes is great.”
Written by Deborah Moggach and distributed by Focus Features, Wright’s Pride and Prejudice, starring Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen, returns to theaters for a limited release on April 20. Bolstered by cinematographer Roman Osin’s sumptuous landscapes, Dario Marianelli’s sweeping score, and peak levels of longing (a group effort), the 2005 film has remained cinematic comfort food for millions, including The Bear’s Ayo Edebiri, who wrote in her Letterboxd review: “Your favorite SNL cast is the one you watched growing up. Your favorite Pride and Prejudice is the first one you saw when you were insatiably horny but unable to fully express it. Thus, this is my favorite Pride and Prejudice.”

The story behind the viral ‘Protect The Dolls’ tee you keep seeing everywhere
Seeing the “Protect the Dolls” T-shirt everywhere?
It’s no secret that Conner Ives is one of London’s brightest design talents. The upcycled T-shirt dresses he shows on the London Fashion Week runway are often found on fashion’s cool kids and A-listers alike, but his latest design, a simple white tee, has taken off like no other.
As he took his bow at the end of his autumn/winter 2025 show in February, the American-born creative wore a T-shirt of his own design, printed with the words “Protect the Dolls,” a slogan meant to demonstrate his solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community, specifically with trans women, who are affectionally called “dolls.”

I wish this bridal jewellery had been around when I got married
A timeless memento you’ll wear again and again

While I will never regret my actual wedding dress – a cream and gold Carolina Herrera tulle number – I do wish I’d thought a little harder about my bridal jewellery. In the end, I kept it super simple, borrowing some diamond ear studs from my grandmother, and of course I had my engagement and wedding rings. This was almost 10 years ago, and back then, I felt like my only options were dated pearl necklaces or sparkly drop earrings.
Now though, bridal jewellery has come a very long way, with cool brands like Completed Works, Ysso and even Pandora offering more modern and cool pieces that are suitably bridal without seeming stuffy or outdated.

Fashion’s Next Big Trend Is Probably Already Lying In Your Wardrobe — Here’s What You Need To Dig Out
With luxury brands increasingly looking to their archives, Tamison O’Connor explores why fashion will never fall out of love with nostalgia.

During a jam-packed SS25 season in Paris, the most whispered about happening wasn’t a catwalk show or a rumoured creative-director changing of the guard, but a little pop-up sale held by an if-you-know-you-know vintage retailer, Resee. The event, which offered an exclusive range of ‘Old Céline’, dominated chat on the front row — a place normally rife with Phoebe Philo fans.
You might shrug the whole thing off as the Phoebe factor. But to me, it said a lot about what’s most desirable in fashion at the moment. Just one week prior, we watched the Prada show in Milan where Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons resurrected some of the brand’s most classic shoes from the ’90s and ’00s — including a rubber-cap Mary Jane platform from AW12 that will I forever long for as the one that got away.

The Nine Best Strawberry Perfumes Are Ripe for the Picking
The It girl fragrance note can be fun, fresh, sexy, and everything in between.

Just like in fashion, fragrance trends come and go. The best perfumes of 2024 saw us dousing ourselves in vanilla-laden scents, and while gourmands are certainly not going anywhere in 2025, they’ve taken on a whole new tasty identity. The must-have perfumes of 2025 are turning to juicy, fresh fruits for inspiration. If you’re an avid scroller of PerfumeTok (guilty!), then you’ve probably seen the countless reviews on cherry, pear, and classic citrus fragrances. However, there’s a fruit set to rise above them all in popularity: strawberries.
I was curious to hear what notes would take over the fragrance world in 2025, so I turned to Darryl Do of Delbia Do Fragrances and Flavor for insight. To my surprise, he said, “Strawberry is the next call-out note for perfumes,” and added that “Malin & Goetz Strawberry, Phlur Strawberry Letter, and Nest Santa Barbara Strawberry are a few in the scent-scape.” While strawberry in fragrance is nothing new, per se, it is going through a bit of a revival—I’ve counted at least four new strawberry perfumes that have launched this year alone.

10 Best High-Waisted Leggings for Every Type of Exercise
According to someone who spends so much time in these stretchy fabrics

I live in leggings—even when I’m not partaking in an exercise or activity—so I’ve compiled a list of the best high-waisted leggings. They’re one of the most popular styles for a reason. They’re comfortable, supportive, hug you in all the right places, and look cute with nearly any activewear look. Whether it’s an ankle-hugging style with a 7/8 inseam or a flared silhouette, my workout clothes drawer is overflowing with my most tried-and-true picks to wear to yoga, Pilates, on hikes with friends, and even my weekly figure-skating classes. Below are the must-have leggings for various activities, recommended by myself, a few of my friends, and Glamour editors.

The Aviator Jacket Is the Coat Stylish Women Are Wearing This Spring
Watch this trend take flight.

Remember the aviator jacket all the cool girls sported over winter? Cropped and lined with shearling? Well, they haven’t stopped wearing them for spring, just now in a slightly different silhouette.
It’s easy to reach for the styles we’re familiar with, the classic bomber jacket being a favorite for transitional seasons like spring and fall. Its appeal lies in the cropped hem and puffy sleeves that make it universally flattering on most people. Plus, it also happens to go very well over jeans and sneakers.
This season, however, we’ve been seeing a slightly new style emerge on our favorite A-listers and influencers: the aviator jacket, spring edition. Like its wintery cousin, this aviator jacket (so named for the jackets air force pilots would wear, Top Gun style) features a boxy, often oversized silhouette with padded shoulders that is sometimes adorned with flap pockets.

When Did Prestige TV Get This Grim?
All I want right now are well-made, buzzy television shows that don’t make me fear for my life, plunge me into an anxiety spiral, or leave me feeling like I need to cleanse with yet another episode of Friends. Why is this so hard?

As Glamour’s senior West Coast editor, part of my job is to watch—and think critically about—TV. It’s the best when a show strikes the right balance of smart dialogue, great characters, and everyday situations that we can all relate to. It’s less fun when it’s a show that reminds me of how dire the circumstances are in the world at this moment, or how awful people can be.
But now, I was finding myself being triggered by shows I once would have had no hesitation jumping into. I’ve never been into watching series with gratuitous violence, but even tuning into SVU or Grey’s Anatomy felt too much lately. Apple Cider Vinegar, a limited series about a woman who faked cancer to become a mega-influencer, was too hard to stomach given I had already been going through initial rounds of medical testing as early as January and couldn’t bear to see someone lie about something so serious. And even though I didn’t lose my home in the Los Angeles fires, they were close enough to see from my balcony that I left town for the week. So watching Chicago Fire or Fire Country? I know both shows honor these heroic men and women, but right now it’s just too much.

Trader Joe’s Mini Tote Bag: Why It Has Captured the Hearts of Women Everywhere
Devotees explain why they are willing to go to such great lengths for the grocery store’s viral Easter-egg-hued totes.

The It bag of the moment is cute and affordable. You can buy it while stocking up on milk. Yes, it’s the Trader Joe’s Mini Tote Bag.
Trader Joe’s, the beloved California grocery chain, has had plenty of viral moments in its past, but the current hype for its mini tote bags in pastel colors has truly taken the cake. Women are lining up outside stores to score one, the bags are reselling online, and TikTok has been flooded with content devoted to the bag.
But why has this humble $2.99 bag, ostensibly intended to carry produce, turned into such a status symbol?

Jacques Pépin Shared His Favorite Butter for Baking — and You Can Find It at Dollar General
He’s a world-class chef, and he’s French. He knows his butters.
When Jacques Pépin recommends a brand of butter, we listen. As one of the world’s most acclaimed chefs (and a Frenchman) who has flambéed crêpes suzette and baked tarte tatin alongside Julia Child, he knows which butter is up to the task for all your baking needs.
Before you start baking with butter, Pépin says the first step is to taste it. A well-made butter should have a dairy-rich, sweet cream flavor. That’s what gives everything from an all-butter pie dough to a brown-butter chocolate chip cookie that satisfying, “I can’t stop eating this” feeling.

Here’s What You Should Expect From a Restaurant on Your Birthday As an Adult
Do you deserve free cake or a song just for being born?

Every single person who is reading this has a birthday. Some celebrate the day while others avoid it at all costs, wanting to ignore the passing of time. I have at least a couple of friends who don’t just celebrate the day they were born, but the entire month.
A birthday feels special until you remember there are about 17.7 million people around the world who have the same birthday you do. That’s not to say it shouldn’t be recognized. Gifts, cards, cake, and all the well-wishes are deserved, but what should someone expect from a restaurant when they go out to celebrate? It all depends on the establishment.

Olivia Munn’s 5 Favorite Places in Tokyo
The actress, who stars in the new Apple TV+ series “Your Friends & Neighbors,” guides a treasure hunt though the city where she spent much of her childhood.

The baronial manors, rolling lawns and private clubs in the fictional suburban backdrop of the new Apple TV+ series “Your Friends & Neighbors” bear little resemblance to the buzzing sidewalks, neon lights and hidden warrens of Tokyo. But for the actress Olivia Munn, who plays an outsider turned socialite on the show, her childhood years in the city helped inform the role.
At age 8, Ms. Munn, now 44, moved from Oklahoma City, where she was born, to Yokota Air Base in Tokyo, along with her mom, then stepdad (an Air Force major) and four siblings. Suddenly, she was the odd kid out, “thrust into new worlds” where she became determined to find her place, she said in a recent video interview. “I really got good at observing people.”

George R.R. Martin admits The Winds of Winter is 13 years late, calls upcoming book ‘the curse of my life’
The best-selling author and “Game of Thrones” mastermind says that though he’s making “progress” on the penultimate novel of his “Song of Ice and Fire” series, other projects also demand his attention.

George R.R. Martin is tired of fans questioning how he spends his time.
Last week, the Game of Thrones author made headlines for posing with a real-life direwolf, the extinct Ice Age species making a comeback thanks to developments in biotech. Martin, who features the wolves heavily in his A Song of Fire and Ice series, was immediately mocked by fans on social media who joked about his progress on the franchise’s long-anticipated penultimate book: “We got real dire wolves before Winds of Winter.”
Asked about the comments in a recent interview with TIME, the author shook his head.

Pride & Prejudice director reveals Matthew Macfadyen came up with unscripted viral hand flex
“On the day, I thought, ‘Oh no, we didn’t get it. It was rubbish,'” director Joe Wright says. “Now, people are still posting it. It’s odd and really nice.”
The best — and most enduring — moment of Pride & Prejudice is all thanks to Matthew Macfadyen.
You know exactly what we’re talking about: Mr. Darcy’s (Macfadyen) hand flex. That tiny, incremental hand movement had audiences shrieking in theaters when the 2005 classic first came out, and has since become a viral meme showcasing the barely-restrained passion between Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet (Keira Knightley) after he helped her into into a carriage. And according to a new interview with director Joe Wright, that moment actually wasn’t even scripted.

These Waterfalls Are Known as the ‘Bali of Europe’—and Have Crystal-Clear Turquoise Pools and Lush Landscape
Located near the Croatian border, the Kravica Waterfalls are one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most beloved natural wonders.

Among the forest of lush green trees, cascades of water spout out from dramatic rock formations, prancing and dancing over a span nearly 500 feet wide. The gin-clear waters below huddle together into emerald pools while the soothing soundtrack of every drop on its journey invigorates the senses and calms the soul.
It’s the kind of tropical waterfall scene Mother Earth so often treats us to in Bali, Hawaii, and even Croatia’s Plitvice National Park. Yet this idyllic setting is in the most surprising of places: Bosnia and Herzegovina.
