She may not have snagged that Oscar, but Demi Moore is a Time100 honoree and she came to the New York summit looking like a million bucks, courtesy of Thom Browne. Browne is a popular designer for the red carpet set, but too many stars tend to pick the same five or six styles and wear them over and over again. It’s rare to see someone step out working a Thom Browne look we haven’t seen before. But be warned: things get so tricky that we honestly cannot figure out exactly what it is she’s wearing.
So… she arrived wearing a jacket over that sort of half-coat thing and then she took the jacket off, and then at some point she also took the half-coat thing off. Girl, are you doing a Drag Race lip sync? There’s no need for so many reveals. There’s also no need for that half-coat. Despite all of the trickiness and unnecessary layers, we still think she looks great in this. She should return to Browne more often.
