Before we completely, for really-reals wrap up our 2025 SAG Awards red carpet coverage, let’s spend some time judging the boys in attendance. Most of them were boring, but we’ll power through it.
Adrien Brody in Louis Vuitton
Perfectly acceptable/acceptably perfect.
Andrew Scott in Alexander McQueen
We still think he’s better off in more conventional styles than the ones he tends to pick for himself, but this is pretty great, in a Duran Duran video sort of way.
Bowen Yang in Ami
It feels like his style has gotten a little depressed of late. We certainly don’t think he should go out all sparkles and rainbows every chance he gets, but neither do we think he needs to be sporting Tyne Daly’s castoffs.
Boyd Holbrook
The fit is terrible and formalwear without a tie just makes you look drunk.
Colin Farrell in Dolce & Gabbana
Lovely.
Daniel Craig in Giorgio Armani
An amendment to our earlier point: formalwear without a tie makes you look drunk, but Daniel Craig makes it look drunkenly hot.
Drew Starkey in Valentino
That scarf is one of the dumbest menswear affectations we’ve ever seen. Why are so many male stars anti-tie?
Ebon Moss-Bachrach
Looks great.
Ethan Slater
No issues here, although that tux is on the tiny side.
Jack Quaid in Dunhill
The suit looks great. Love the vest and the shoes. The grooming isn’t up to formalwear standards.
Jeff Goldblum in Prada
You had us until we got to the shoes.
Jeremy Allen White in Louis Vuitton
Love the flare, the vest and the brooch. It’s all okay without a tie, but it would have been improved by one.
Jeremy Strong in Haans Nicholas Mott
He sure does love wearing ugly greens on the red carpet, doesn’t he? We suppose it’s a ploy to stand out in a sea of blacks and midnight blues. We appreciate the adventurousness, but ultimately, this is a hideous tux.
Kieran Culkin
It’s fine. We appreciate that he managed to keep his jacket on long enough for a picture.
Kumail Nanjiani in Emporio Armani
Spectacular.
Luke Newton in Dolce & Gabbana
Pretty hot. We’re not opposed to men wearing scarves with formalwear, but we can sense this trend is right on the verge of being annoyingly overdone.
Michael Urie in Georges Hobeika
Love the jacket and the boots, but the clashing whites bring the look down a little.
Noah Centineo
Enh. It’s all fine. The grooming isn’t a deal breaker, but it would have been nice if he cleaned up a bit.
Ralph Fiennes
This man clearly hates wearing tuxedos and yet we have no doubt he looks effortlessly amazing in them. Ralph, why pick some boring accountant’s suit?
Taylor Zakhar Perez in Giorgio Armani
Looks a little cheap and sloppy to us.
Tyler James Williams in LGN Louis Gabriel Nouchi
We’d have liked a different shirt, but we love the cut and color of the suit.
