Anna Sawai, congratulations on your Golden Globe and also on being gorgeous. We’re trying to be nice here because we feel like we’re always mean to her and we’re about to continue that streak.
We have no technical critiques of this look. It’s perfectly fine and vaguely on trend, although we’d never peg it as the hottest look of the moment. She looks good. All of that said, this look has the same issue all of her public-facing fashion does. It’s generic. We get that not everyone’s a fashion girlie, but we figure if you’re already prepared to commit to a sheer lace dress and heels, why not put that effort to better use and pick more interesting, stylish and memorable choices? Some pattern and color would be nice, for a start.
