A whole bunch of A-list women entertainers came out to the appropriately named Women in Entertainment gala put on by The Hollywood Reporter every year. Let’s all gaze quietly at their style choices and demurely keep our opinions about them to ourselves. PSYCH! Let’s judge, judgy Judies!
Bryce Dallas Howard in Alexander McQueen
The dress feels very 1991, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it also looks like she’s wearing a sports bra backwards over it.
Danielle Brooks in Wiederhoeft
Congratulations on your wedding, Danielle, but you owe it to your guests not to skip out on them just to attend some industry party.
Garcelle Beauvais
Made her sales quota for the quarter, looking to celebrate with that bonus heading her way.
Jennifer Lawrence in Dior
It’s low-key and simple, but we’re mostly impressed that she’s making that belt work with her baby bump. We’d have rec’d a pendant.
Julia Fox
This is one of her better attempts at high style but it would work so much better if the jacket were actually fitted to accommodate the corset. As it is, it looks sloppy and shoved in.
Kerry Washington in Brandon Maxwell
This almost works for us, but there’s too high a contrast between the gown and the pants. We can’t believe we’re going to suggest this, but the same pants, properly hemmed and in a Champagne color, would work better.
Laura Dern in Prada
This is pretty cute. We’re still not fans of black-backed florals, but we’re big fans of Laura Dern leaning into the boho styles that suit her best.
Molly Shannon
It looks dated and OTR, we’re sorry to say.
Natasha Rothwell
It’s a pretty cute look, but we’d have loved it more in almost any color but that gray, which does little for her. All the visual interest is in the bag, which kind of doesn’t go.
Nicole Kidman in Shushu Tong
Oof. No, ma’am. It’s the one thing she most needs to avoid in her style: mumsy.
Pamela Anderson
This just looks like depression in clothing form.
Selena Gomez in Self-Portrait
It’s a little precious and we could do without all the buttons, but it’s pretty cute for her.
