Demi Moore in Chanel Couture at THE SUBSTANCE Paris Premiere: IN or OUT?

Demi Moore attended the Paris premiere in Chanel, which is entirely appropriate, bien sûr. We’re feeling a little meh about her outfit, however.

We kinda like that the trend for massive opera coats on red carpet is giving way to simply wearing nice, workable pieces of outerwear. This look tends to give the impression that she opted to throw a coat on over her dress but it’s actually ripped-from-the-runway styling (see below). The bow sash doesn’t look great in either version, but it looks decidedly droopier in the one where the wearer had to get in and out of a car. We don’t think the two-tone pumps are the best choice, the pink clutch clashes with the dress, and we can’t help thinking the ensemble would look better with sheer black tights. Are we nitpicky bitches or is this one just not coming together as well as it should? Put another way…
