We’ve covered plenty of actors and actresses on the red carpet promoting a film they directed or produced, but it’s a rare occasion that we get to feature one at a premiere for a film they directed, produced and starred in. Woman of the Hour star/director/executive producer was the literal woman of the hour at the film’s LA premiere and she opted to take her victory lap in a sharp and unfussy look that still delivered on the glam.

We’ve never been in love with her red carpet style, which always seemed to waver between plain and twee. This isn’t the most original look in the world, but it’s sharp and it feels right for the moment. Love the rings, but we find ourselves wishing for even more jewelry. She could’ve stacked some necklaces, for instance. Our only other quibble is with the shoe choice. Black is fine and appropriate for a tuxedo, but there are more interesting choices than a standard pump. Her hair looks great but the makeup looks off to us.
