Good Lady Cate has been keeping herself busy these days, making no less than four separate red carpet appearances at the Toronto International Film Festival.

We really hope the seams running across the knees don’t indicate that she can just unzip the bottom of the pants and turn them into shorts. This is kind of an odd look, especially when taken in consideration with everything else she’s worn lately. The color stands out because she’s avoiding color pretty strenuously lately. The red looks great on her, but we hate the sloppy tuck and belt.

This is a re-wear that she sported on the 2018 Britannia Awards red carpet. One thing we’re getting from all of these retread looks she’s been wearing for the last few years is that Cate Blanchett doesn’t give her dresses back to the designer once she’s worn it. When you’re Cate Blanchett, they let you do it. Anyway, we still feel about this dress the way we did six years ago: pretty print, but it’s wildly over-pleated and the mismatched arms make it look off-balance.

She’s back on her spoon kick, it would seem. We didn’t think this was something that needed to be said, but evidently some folks need reminding: flatware tends to make for terrible fashion.

While we think the belt interferes with the blouse a little too much, we can’t really argue with the overall effect. This looks great on her.
