If Halle Berry hadn’t stepped out in the very best thing she’s worn in years just the other night, we might feel a little more kindly about her followup look, at the Fantastica Festival screening of Never Let Go.
It’s not that we feel unkind about this getup, but if the previous outfit never happened, we’d probably be all “Halle gets it sort of right” instead of what we’re feeling at the moment, which is, “Halle’s back on her goofy bullshit.” Really, it’s about expectations. And if you step out looking better than you have in years, then any followup appearance is going to feel like a letdown. But for real: this isn’t bad. We don’t mind the baggy pants or the fabric flower, but we do think they look a little clownish when paired. We presume she’s wearing a sheer bodysuit underneath, but it only looks like she hiked her panties up too high.
