Choices were made. Many of them of the not-good variety.

And lo, did a cry of “WHY, NIC? WHY?!?!” ring out from the corporate offices of T Lo International at 6 am eastern time this morn. WHY would you pink a gown that is exactlyexactlyexactly the color of your skin? WHY would you also pick one that’s essentially a strapless sheath, so that the ensuing effect is that you are melting right in front of everyone’s eyes, like a Barbie left in an oven. A choice so awful that we’re baffled as to how a pro of her long standing even made it. Her hair and makeup are pretty. The jewelry’s too heavy. We’re sorry to say this is the worst she’s looked in ages on a red carpet.

We’ll credit her with wearing the most interesting and photogenic outfit of the three. We’re not in love with these potpourri-style pieces; gauzey garments stuffed with (real?) flowers. It just feels gimmicky and precious to us. We’ll admit this one has a dark fantasy vibe to it that suits her, but we tend to think that fashion is a form in which you interpret real flowers. In other words, to us, this is like taping fruit to a canvas and calling it a still life.

The style is fine, if a little basic. He always has his suits cut too small for him, which leaves him looking very stiff in posing situations. If he buttoned that jacket, he wouldn’t be able to lift his arms. And the shoulders are built out too far, to an almost comical effect. Also (we’re really not mad at him, we swear) that hair looks terrible.
