We’re not sure why Da’Vine Joy Randolph opted to show up at the Ripley premiere, but we’re glad to see her out and about post-Oscar win. It’s never a bad idea for a rising star to get their face out there as much as possible. When she first started getting buzz for her role in The Holdovers, we put all of the top designers on notice that they better spend the next six months throwing high-end fashion at her, but for this event, the lady showed up in a dress that’s on sale for $37.

We are happy to report that it looks fantastic on her, although if we’re being honest, it would look much better on her without that V strap. Even so, the colors look great, the shoes are well-chosen, the mani looks luxurious and her hair looks great. It’s a really good “I’m just here to get my picture taken” sort of look.
