Darlings, this is our vow to you: We WILL wrap up our seemingly endless SAG Awards coverage by day’s end. Since we’ve already rounded up a bunch of ladies to celebrate their colorful style choices, it seems only fair and feminist of us to also celebrate those women who chose to go the other way. This is honestly great. Pretty much perfect, we’d say. Definitely a personal best for her. We might have rec’d a statement jewelry piece.
Cara Delevingne in Carolina Herrera
We’d have liked this so much more if they removed both of those flowers – or even just one of them.
Haley Lu Richardson in Carolina Herrera
Great dress. The bag is too much and we don’t think the hair is doing anything for the look.
Janelle James in Rodarte
We really don’t like that sheer panel in the skirt and we think the design makes her look broader up top than she is. It’s not a terrible dress, but it’s not a great one either.
Jenna Ortega in Atelier Versace
It’s got a sexy-punk trashbag couture vibe to it that’s perfect for her. Versace’s her house.
Jennifer Coolidge in Saint Laurent
Is she stepping on her hem or is the odd seaming and pleating just making it look that way? We don’t love this design and we don’t think headbands are where it’s at for her.
Jenny Slate in Zuhair Murad
Meh. It’s eye-catching, but it leans too hard on the “My dress is falling off” motif. Those straps need simplifying.
Laura Linney in Christian Siriano
Not crazy about the high collar or the sleeve-esque things, but the textile looks great on her.
Lisa Ann Walter in Fouad Sarkis Couture
She’s a lady who loves herself a big ’80s style ball gown and the big ’80s style boobs to go with it.
Sally Field in Oscar de la Renta
It’s the epitome of the Lifetime Achievement Dress. Sally, we love you, which is why we’re telling you that you deserve better.
