Good Lady Cate gets her Ultrasuede on for the Sydney screening of Tár. No, that’s not code for anything. Her stylist Elizabeth Stewart noted on her Instagram that this suit is made from vintage ’80s Ultrasuede “found in the attic of a Hollywood costume shop by the designers Wolk Morais, who built their entire Spring collection out of reclaimed textiles.” Vintage, historic and sustainable. How can we not love our fashion aristocrat?

Good Lady, you had us until we got to the hem. First, we don’t love where it hits on the ankle. Wide-legged pants look better hitting closer to the heel. But we’re really more annoyed with how bad that hem job looks. We’re not even sure it was properly hemmed at all. It looks more like it was taped up. We also have to admit that we’re not feeling the white pumps. It’s a strong look and mostly a good look, but some of the details take it down a notch or two. We’re pretending not to see the zipper situation, because that’s just a weensy bit tragic.
