BoF 500 Gala Red Carpet Rundown

We feel like we owe Jared Leto a solid, because we singled out his BoF500 Gala look for judgment and potential ridicule without putting it in the proper context. As you’ll see by this selection of attendees, Rocker Pixie Jesus was not the only person sporting some attention-seeking, if not outright cray fashion at the event. The night called for loudly focus-pulling fashion and these folks delivered.

It’s dramatic enough, but we don’t like the proportions; not the hem and not the sleeve treatment. Plus that collar looks too heavy for it.

We love it. It’s the epitome of a love-it-or-hate-it dress, so we don’t think there’s much more to say about it. It’s a killer design and she’s pulling it off, although we wonder about the sheer black stockings.

That’s what models are for.

We think the top and the pants have real possibilities, but that jacket is hideous.

It’s an art piece and she’s exactly the person to be wearing it. We don’t love the top, but the skirt is kind of gorgeous. We’re not sure the jacket works with it.

It’s cute and it has a certain elegance to it, but they went a little heavy on the ink in the silkscreen process.

Our first reaction to this dress was a little mean, so we’ll temper it and just say that we don’t like it at all. The color story is unappealing and the style is a little precious for us.

It may surprise you to hear that we don’t mind it at all. We’re not huge fans of black lace, but this is an interesting and eye-catching design.
