With the Venice Film Festival behind her, Blonde star Ana de Armas ditched the pseudo-Marilyn drag and took her style in several different directions for the Toronto Film Festival.
Here at the photo call, she’s keeping things business-like and profesh, with some diamond accents to add just enough sparkle to keep her from looking like she works for the festival. It’s not exciting, but it gets the job done. Her makeup is gorgeous.
For the premiere, she bumped up the glam even further, but maintained a sort of classic ease-of-use style that doesn’t have that overwrought quality that so much prestige or buzz-heavy style can have during the major film festivals. She’s not overdoing it, is what we’re trying to say here. That’s notable to us because a film and role like this practically begs for over-the-top promotion and we think it’s interesting that she’s keeping it fairly low key.
