The lighting conditions were bad but that didn’t stop the stars of David Cronenberg’s latest body horror nightmare fuel to serve some looks on the black carpet.
The quality of said looks varied, as you might have noticed.
Kristen Stewart in Chanel
We will never fail to point out that Chanel tends to work best for Kristen when it doesn’t look anything like Chanel. This is great; giving just the right amount of butch Joan Jett rocker chick glam, but also having a modern chicness to it that she can pull off with ease. We’re not sure what’s going on with the hem/boot situation, but it’s distracting.
Léa Seydoux in Louis Vuitton
The style isn’t fresh, but it suits her perfectly and there are little touches – the lip color, the buttons, the boots – that elevate it and make it seem fresher. Even so, that jumper looks like it’s made out of a car mat.
Viggo Mortensen
Okay, Dad. You can go take your seat now.
Scott Speedman
We are confused and disappointed. Confused because we don’t see how that shirt coordinates with that suit and we don’t understand why you’d bother with either of them if you didn’t care about such things, given how focus-pulling they both are. Disappointed because he’s far too cute to be looking this uninteresting in public.
