Did Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union nail the theme of this year’s Met Gala? Not really. Did they serve some of the most elaborately eye-popping fashion of the night? Also not really. So why are we featuring them?
Because, well… just look at them. They’re SO pretty. Sometimes, we’ve just got to hold off on all the assessing, critiquing and contextualizing just to sigh over pretty people wearing gorgeous things. Folks might take issue with his shirtlessness, but the suit is gorgeous – love the gold elements and the walking stick. Besides, plenty of ladies were baring their panties and even their breasts on this red carpet, so a little slice of ab and pec isn’t going to hurt anyone. It should be noted that Gabrielle’s gown is an homage to the legend Diahann Carroll:
That just makes it all the more fabulous.
