Sometimes, after the Oscars or the Met Gala or the Cannes Film festival, a couple of red carpet blogger bitches need to recalibrate their settings in order to cover the vast majority of red carpetry that isn’t necessarily on the haute couture level. A kids animated feature premiere is a prime example of what we’re talking about. You’re not likely to show up for such an event in the latest items ripped from the European runways, but you also don’t want to treat it like an event that’s beneath you. And you have to strike a balance that checks off the fun and photogenic boxes, but doesn’t tip over too far into sexy or ostentatious. You tell us:

We admit that the color isn’t terribly appealing to us. We’re also not sure the skirt and the bodice marry all that well. It feels like every aspect of it has at least one design element too many. On the other hand, she’s giving a certain sort of cartoon glam and the perfect hair and makeup are doing a lot to sell this look. So we return to asking you:
