Good Lady Cate swung by the César Awards to pick up her Lifetime Achievement Trophy. She wisely opted not to show up in a gown fit for an octogenarian.
In fact, she showed up in enough outfit to work three looks in one night. We kinda love all of this, if only because it’s an ensemble that really forces you to take it in. It’s unconventional in shape and has a semi-serious tone to it, but still feels luxurious and modern. We love all the various layers and textures. Our only quibble is with the all-too-conventional black pumps. We can understand not wanting to pull focus from the outfit, but surely something with a little more oomph would have worked better here.
