As we’ve noted quite a bit recently, we’re back to comfy Insta-fits for the celebrity set after they spent a good eight months or so dressing like Elton John for the red carpet. We think this looks really great. We’re not usually the types to gush over baggy drawstring pants, but this pair is really stylish and goes perfectly with the sweater. She looks comfy, but very of-the-minute and telegenic, which is just what she’d want out of the look.

We never came right out and said this before (because there’d be hell to pay and it wasn’t quite worth it to us), but in the few instances we’ve covered her on the red carpet, we noted (quietly, to ourselves) how unusual it was for a former teen star to embrace a more mature style well before her 50th birthday. We never brought it up because to be honest, mature styles actually suit her really well and in a way, it was kind of refreshing to see an actress go with what works for her rather than chase youth or trends. We’re bringing this up here because while it’s not particularly surprising that she’d youthen things up a bit for a return to the teen-scream franchise for which she’s best known, it is surprising how effortless she’s made it look to just drop ten years off yourself with a good haircut, some killer earrings, and a cute outfit.
