Darlings, the stars gave us what might be the final push of red carpetry for the year and we wound up with a little bit left over to judge. Help us give these stars the notes and opinions they’ve been so desperately waiting for, won’t you?
Camila Alves and Matthew McConaughey
We haven’t seen these two together on a red carpet in a dog’s age. As we recall, she always dressed way more elaborately than he did and she seems to be continuing that tradition here. Hey, we can’t fault a lady for working a red carpet when one presents itself to her. The dress is okay, but we don’t love the color; especially in combination with his baby spew brown suit. We will not mention the black satin shirt, if only because its terribleness is self-evident.
Christopher Meloni
The style is basic, but we can’t argue with the results. The stripes and pocket square are nice touches. He’s been such a thirsty boy in his late middle age that it’s probably a good idea he keeps his fashion somewhat bland when the occasion warrants it.
Denzel Washington
It’s fine. He’s Denzel.
Drew Barrymore
The outfit’s kind of fun but the eye makeup just comes off a little too “I’m a cool mom.” It’s just not you, Drew.
Harry Shum Jr.
There are two things we are forced to admit here: First, that the Sing 2 premiere simply isn’t a place to expect formal wear. Second, that he looks cute here.
Kristen Wiig in Chanel
That’s about as chic as a belly chain’s ever gonna look to us.
Moses Ingram
The design is a little basic and we wish it fit her just a bit better in the bodice, but she looks great in the style and especially the color.
Niecy Nash in Greta Constantine
This looks great, but it pains us to point out the Queen of Fit’s bust is a skosh too tight.
Rachel Brosnahan in LBV
We really respect her for wearing those pants. It takes a certain bravery to go out in something that hideous, knowing you’ll be photographed.
Ralph Fiennes, Djimon Hounsou, Harris Dickinson and Rhys Ifans
The left side of this picture is doing a whole hell of a lot better than the right side.
Saweetie
Well, the shoes are nice at least.
Sharon Stone in Dolce & Gabbana
Is she having some sort of wardrobe malfunction? It’s so hard to tell these days if an exposed bra is on purpose or not. We hope it’s not, if only because this is a terrible way to do the exposed bra.
Sofia Carson in Giuseppe di Morabito
An absolute stunner of a coat.
Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin
He stopped doing the Lady Clairol thing with his hair and he looks so much better for it. Her outfit’s cute. Since sheer black tights are trending back, we kinda think she might’ve wanted to sport them here.
Zuri Hall
Just a quiet knockout of a look.
