“Bruised” Star and Director Halle Berry in Rick Owens at the People’s Choice Awards

To reiterate a point we keep making of late, Halle Berry’s style choices are all over the map and we can never really predict where her whims are going to take her. After covering her style for over a decade, we can’t really give you a simple answer that sums up her style except to note rather broadly that she definitely likes to make an impact and dislikes looking like anybody else. It may lead her down some questionable roads, but overall, she gives the impression that she likes fashion and hates being pegged into a slot. Although she also doesn’t mind reminding you that she played Catwoman:

The crotch outline and the butt zipper are … not fabulous, let’s say. And leave it at that. The rest of it? PURE fabulous. Love the color, love the addition of the belt. We prefer the zipped-up version of the look book, but it’s not like she isn’t working the shit out of that plunging neckline.
