Hey, did you guys know that Jennifer Lopez has a movie called Marry Me coming out? Because if you don’t, girlfriend’s gonna take every opportunity to remind you. Sure, it’s pretty much a given that she’d be singing the theme song for the movie and that she’d be working the music awards show circuit.
But it takes a J Lo to actually go bridal on stage – and not in an ironic, Madonna sort of way. Once she ditched the sad-chic overdress, it was full-on MARRY ME bridalwear:
Sure, it’s not literal. It’s not even from a bridal collection, but that’s why it feels unironic. It’s sexy romance, high-fashion coquettishness. We don’t love the “old bra” color of the dress, but it has the feel of a ballerina with just a little bit of undergarment sexiness to it. Add that totally Carrie Bradshaw take on a bridal veil and it feels very smartly done (in that calculated J Lo sort of way). Just look at how she coordinated her sparkly microphones to each outfit. Too bad she couldn’t get the bust fitted correctly.
