Penélope Cruz has been getting her Chanel on all through film festival season (if not fulfilling a contractual obligation with the house), and while we think the results of this style marriage have been spotty at times, we kinda love the unexpected direction this one took. As we may have said a few times before, trying to get tricky with a classic Chanel tweed suit is rarely a good idea, but this time…
We’re a little charmed by it. All the frayed edges are driving us nuts to look at, but we really love the semi-seriousness of the suit and how the fishnets give it an unexpectedly playful feel. Her hair and makeup look great and the shoes and earrings are both well chosen. This one came down to smart styling.
