We’ve always been big fans of Matt Smith’s personal and promotional style, so it is with a pair of heavy hearts and no small amount of concern that we feel compelled to ask:
When did Matt Smith get so dull? We never expected him to continue to dress like The Doctor forever and it’s fine for a person’s style to evolve over time, but this feels a lot like when Rami Malek started getting more and more mainstream acclaim and completely obliterated all of his personal style in response to it. We suppose it worked for him, what with the Oscar and the Bond movie and all. Still, it’s sad when a formerly stylish guy seemingly gets more caught up in looking cool than looking interesting. Seriously, what is with the shades, dude?
This is absolutely not the kind of film that calls for minimalist, conventional, forgettable style choices for the promotional work.
