Kate Hudson hit the Venice Film Festival red carpets this weekend and we don’t think we give this lady enough credit for her fashion serves. While we wouldn’t necessarily place her alongside Cate, Lupita and Tilda in the red carpet pantheon, she does have a long history of delivering some drama. Your girl likes to go big and loud in her fashion and that’s a trait we’ll always love and support (even when we don’t particularly love each individual choice).

We’ll be honest: You’ll probably never see us complimenting a blonde white woman in a beige gown. It’s a combo that sounds as boring as it looks. Ironically, we don’t dislike this because it’s boring but because it has way too much going on. In no particular order, we hate: the unfinished hem, the fact that it looks like she’s wearing a shirt under a gown, the over-pleated bodice and the sad-looking bust. It’s not likely that we would have loved these elements had they all been rendered in a bold color, but we probably would have hated them less.

She looks spectacular in this shade of red and this would be so gorgeous if it didn’t look like she was wearing suspenders over her boobs.
