After serving an 8-course meal of Alta Moda style yesterday (and with just a bit more of that in the pipeline for today), we figured you all deserved a break from the outrageous gownery and the option of a different sort of candy for your eyes. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star Simu Liu served up some cool, casual late summer vibes on Good Morning America.

Love the shades, love the sneakers, love the swagger. We’re generally not fans of men’s shirts being too undone in anything but a casual setting, but he can handle the display well and the shirt is right for that kind of vibe. If we have any critique (aside from maybe noting that the fly should have been pinned shut), it’s that we think a bigger, brighter sort of sneaker would have been an improvement. The outfit could have used that bit of visual punctuation at the bottom.

In other news, he’s charming.
