Do we know why J Lo got herself all dolled up to wear a pretty dress in her backyard? No. Does it matter? Also no. As long as your girl is out here serving lewks on the ‘gram, we see no reason to concern ourselves with the whys of the matter. We’re just here to be judgy about it.

As we’ve noted before, chartreuse has been both the hottest and the trickiest color of spring/summer 2021. J Lo long ago established that she could wear pretty much any shade of green imaginable, but we’re surprised to see that she also manages to make this super-twee, borderline prairie dress look really fabulous. We’ve studied this frock intently and we’re pretty sure we hate on its own. Somehow, Jennifer’s making it really work for her. The color really pops and she manages to give the look a confidence and sexiness even with the schoolmarm hairstyle. It’s not so much that we love this whole look on her as we’re pleasantly surprised by what she’s able to do with it. We can’t explain it, but she looks great, even though we don’t like what she’s wearing. We suppose that’s why she’s J Lo.
