Salma Hayek at the Balenciaga Fashion Show

For once, we can totally get behind Miss Salma’s take on being Mrs. Fashion. We’ve been whining for a long time about her red carpet choices, seeing as how her billionaire husband owns half the luxury brands in the world. She’s always been a company wife, in the sense that she rarely wears anything but Kering Group brands, but her choices have always puzzled us. Despite the vast array of high fashion goods at her beck and call, she tends to make bland choices or worse, to pick things for which she’s not particularly well-suited.

But we kind of love this for her – weird seaming issues aside. It’s dramatic and photogenic, but she’s as comfy as a gal could possibly be sitting front row at a Balenciaga show, wearing the brand. The shades really make the look. We’re only so-so on the bag and shoes, only because we don’t think the color does much for the dress.
