“A Quiet Place Part II” Final Trailer & Featurette

Well now, this looks intense on a level we’re not entirely convinced we want right now.

But y’know? Some of us just want to get out of the house and feel something and we can definitely see the appeal of sitting in a theater and screaming your way through jump scares with a crowd of horror fans, if that’s your thing.

Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.

We don’t necessarily think the first film begged for a sequel, but then again, we’re inclined to feel that way about most non-franchise films. On the other hand, it really was a fun, tense time with a slightly original hook. Emily Blunt’s great at playing quiet horror and she’s fun as an action hero.

But we’re not sure this will be the film that gets us inside a theater this summer, although we admit we’re feeling the call.
