On the one hand, we’re always grateful to Maria Bakalova for hitting her Oscars campaign fashion so hard. On the other hand, she just totally screwed with our plans for her upcoming “Ology” post. She’s been bouncing back and forth between “princess” and “ingenue” with her style choices this season; a very savvy move for someone on her track. But then she had to go and do THIS:

And, well… what even IS that? Victorian chorus girl? Tap-dancing bride? Second question: Are we reacting badly because it’s such a swerve? Maybe this look has some appeal that’s eluding us and we’re just being, we don’t know… unusually judgmental for us. Maybe you can see something here that we can’t.
