Look, we expect vigorous pushback on this, but the “LET’S GET LOUD” was pure and perfect. We suppose there’s some cause to be concerned about the sanctity of the moment, but as far as we’re concerned, the moment called for a little righteous yelling and cheering. If you can’t have a crowd because 400,000 people are dead, then at least you can have a diva doing her damnedest to work what crowd there is into some sort of celebratory frenzy.

As for the fashion, we admit, we don’t love this as much as Gaga’s supremely weird coronation gown, but we can’t say we’re surprised to see J Lo in all-white, with a not-insignificant amount of sparkle. The pants are perhaps a bit too much and we think – celebration aside – the jewelry could’ve been toned down a skosh, but when you book J Lo, you get J Lo. We’d have been way more disappointed if she’d been demure and dignified for the occasion. Damn right, girl. LET’S. GET. LOUD.
