For most of the past year, we’ve been saying that the at-home or in-studio style of celebrity self-promotion calls for a different approach than your usual red carpet, photo call, or TV appearance. It’s a setting (and probably a time) that calls for boldness and wildness. It gives stylists and stars way more freedom to be weird or even goofy.

Which explains why we’re a hundred percent behind the Big Bird pants and completely understand why your girl would want to give a little twirl. If this was all happening on a red carpet or a talk show set in the Before Times, we have no doubt we’d be sharpening our claws while rolling our eyes at the over-posing. But our hearts have grown ten sizes since then (probably not) and we applaud any look that takes us out of the moment and inspires such joy in the wearer. Have fun with your bigass feather pants, we say. The rules are suspended for the moment.
FOR. THE. MOMENT.
