Honestly, we think we may have needed this. After several days of meaningful, uplifting inaugural fashion, we woke up hungry for some truly ridiculous celebrity style. Miss Dakota, she did not disappoint.

She really does have a knack for making tacky fashion really work for her. It’s not that she makes it suddenly chic or that she can turn bad designs into good ones. But she has a low-key sense of fun and we suspect a pretty evolved sense of the absurd, both of which help in pulling off a sequined version of a housedress with a truly weird and incongruous pair of shower scrubbies on the cuffs. We would probably howl with delight (and maybe some derision) if she wore this on a red carpet, but it feels really fun and focus-pulling (in a good way, because James Corden is the biggest focus-puller of all time) here.
The gold sandals are a hilarious touch. She should’ve walked out holding a vodka gimlet with her hair in rollers.
