There’s your happy picture for the day. Who could be cranky looking at a smiling dog in a bow tie? It’s science. We had mentally prepared ourselves for an onslaught of loungewear and sweatpants on the night of the Emmys, even though deep down, we knew there were too many people moving and shaking behind the scenes for the stars to completely abandon any style expectations. We were happy to find out that most of them stuck with the kind of Emmys fashion you’d expect. Of those who opted to go the pajamas route, we had two favorites: Julia Garner’s Champagne-colored Daisy Buchanan-esque jammies and Rachel Brosnahan’s custom fam-jammies – as in, she got her whole fam in on the jammies action.
We were all prepared to yell at anyone who slacked off for the night, but how could we possibly be mad at this? Especially since those custom jammies (with their adorably whimsical dancing poppies) are actually kind of gorgeous. The colors look amazing on her and we love the rather insouciant but on-point styling: a winged eye, some killer bedazzled velvet slides, and a couple pieces of coordinating jewelry are all she needed to look chic enough for the Emmys. Having a cute husband and a pair of cute pups to serve as your accessories doesn’t hurt.
